[FFRP] The RP Nexus

"You new here?" asked the girl.

"Um, yeah, I am..." Harriette says to the girl.

[Millinescence]

*after Tabatha pauses the video.* Well, I have heard that time can work differently between worlds...

"Twenty-eight days there, three hours here..." Julia ponders.
"Math isn't really my strong-suit, nya," Tabatha says. "But if that's the time difference, I can see why the legend says that anyone who enters never comes back."
"Yeah...anyone on earth would have to wait years before we return. That is...if we ever do."

Tabatha resumes the video. The tape shows Greg as he packs the duffel bags. "We don't know what we'll face out there," He said, pushing up his glasses. "So we're gonna pack this thing as good as we can. We got some MRE rations, a few bottles of water, and for our protection out there..." He put the van's bopping-stick and a can of mace in the bag. "We might need it, we might not. These are the only weapons we've found in the van. Hopefully the dimension we wind up in won't be hostile. And now the equipment!"
Tabatha fast forwards the video a bit as Greg starts listing off various devices as he puts them all in one of the bags. There were two magnetometers, the K7-Reader, a thermal camera, two tripods, an audio recorder, and several other things commonly used by ghost hunters when on the job.
The camera turns around and shows Tom's face as he said, "Right, so we're all packed now. We've got about two hours left before the vortex opens up. I can't really say I'm looking forward to this. And...I'm nervous about going in." The TV shows static for several seconds as Tom turned off the camera.

[Alissa of Someday]

Charlotte manages to cross the seemingly impossible field of equipment. She now stands in a hallway somewhere in the school. Lucky for her the halls are empty at the moment.

Loosing a sigh of relief, the girl takes an uncomfortable moment to straighten her skirt...before looking left and right to see where she is...or more specifically, to see if she can find a way out...

[muffinstud]

"She's just one of those old ladies that has alot of money and doesn't know what to spend it on" replies Kyle.

Zoey is suprised Bishop hasnt complained about her clothes. Oh well, she must be really motivated to get a story. "Just a bit more guys" he said as they walked past the park.

"Well, if helping out people like her is what this is about, I'm pretty sure I should do just fine." Naru nods, content with herself.

As Zoey and her friends near the park, they see a guy walking along. He seems to be caught up in thought over something. Zoey should recognize him as Stud.

"Hey Karen," Julia waves. "What have you two been upto?" She sits down on the couch next to Karen.
Tabatha goes to the Mini-DV and sets it up to play from the beginning and turns on the TV. She goes to the couch and sits next to Ray. "Hopefully looking back will provide some answers, nya."

The footage plays, starting off with a quick video inventory of thier duffel bags as Tom and Greg prepare for their journey into the vortex.
"Okay, it's been 28 days since Josh disappeared." Says Tom's voice from behind the camera. "We...didn't bother to file a missing person's report because...well, we don't even think he's on earth anymore. I miss him terribly, which is the only reason why I agreed to go on this rescue mission with Greg. The landowner of the vortex site says he'll pay us handsomely if we're able to bring back as much information as we can on what's on the other side of this thing. I don't care about any of that though...I just want my brother back."

"28 days!?" Asked a surprised Julia. "I haven't even been here for a day! You found me like two maybe three hours after I arrived."
"Unya?" Tabatha pauses the tape using a tiny remote she detached from the camera and looks at Julia. "Ho dang, really? Wow, nya."

"Same here. I'm not surprised, really." Ray studies the frozen picture on screen. "Wow. You guys don't even have any family resemblance any more. Usually, there's at least something that sticks. Not much, but something."

[Zoey]

A woman seems to walk by the store and glance back with eyes blinking and she rushes to the front counter. "Naru?! Naru Narusegawa is that you?!" she exclaimes leaning on the register her face blushing either from probably seeing a man or shes drunk. "I thought I was alone in this crazy place! What the hell have you been doing girl?!"

Zoey double checks and tries to get close. "Stud? Is that you?!" she calls out to him.

Charlotte is currently is the in lower grades part of the school. Shes able to see the classrooms filled with little kids. However an exit is not to be seen.

"Heh, then you better get used to this, girl... welcome to hell" replies the girl with a smirk.

Harriette just sighs at this. "Joy..."

[Mendi-chan]

Bishop blinks... "Stud?... I thought you used to be a guy too?" He says... That's some kind of compliment she was givin' this guy.

[muffinstud]

Stud turns and blinks a couple of times. "Zoey? Hey, that is you!" He smiles a little, but his eyes look a little red and he certainly didn't have that chin hair last time he was around.

Naru looks around, confused. "I...I'm sorry." She blushes and tries her darndest to remember this woman who obviously knows her. "Where do I know you from?"

[Millinescence]

Once the static clears on the TV, It shows Greg carrying a duffel bag as he went down a set of stairs to the basement with Tom not far behind.
"It is now 11:57pm, which means that there's three minutes until the vortex opens." Tom said. The stairwell gets darker as they made their way down, it's been years since the building last had power, giving the basement an eerie feeling. Tom switched on the light from the camera.
"Switching to radar mode." Greg announced as they go down a corridor. The screen of his Reader turned green. Clicking can be heard from it as magnetic readings are registered. Now that the Reader was on radar mode, he had a small localized map of the building's layout.
"Hey Tom, do you remember which room he disappeared from?" Greg asked.
"I think so," Tom replied, looking at Reader's the screen. "Yeah, it was further down this corridor, make a right down that hall right there and there's a large room."
As they got closer to the hall they were to turn at, more clicking can be heard, indicating a larger magnetic field.
"We're getting there..." Greg said.
"Two minutes." Tom announced with a hint of nervousness.
They reached the darkened room with thirty seconds to spare. It was almost empty; old desks and typewriters lined the walls. And the floors were covered with concrete pebbles.
"This is the place." Tom said. "I definitely remember. You ready Greg?"
"Ready as I'll ever be..." He replied.
Tom began to count down the time remaining. And right when it reached midnight, a brilliant white orb appeared in the center of the room. The Reader went wild. The camera showed the entire room being engulfed by the orb of light. And when it faded, the camera was spinning on it's side a the tile floor. As it spun, it showed a worm's eye view of Greg and Tom sprawled on the tile, and a classroom that looked like a tornado hit it...

"And that's when we arrived, nya..." Tabatha says, pausing the video again.
"Wow..." Says Julia as she looks at the screen.

[Zoey]

"It's me, Mitsune! Remember when I took over the Hinata Tea House when Haruka left?" she says pointing at herself and Naru.

"Its a friend of a friend of mines Bishop, his name is Stud" explains Zoey. "How have things been with Sakura, Stud?" asks Zoey

"Thats the way to take it! With sarcasm" replies the girl with a thumps up when the coach blew his whistle again. "Cut the chit chat ladies, hurry!"

Harriette smirks a little bit at the girl before rolling her eyes at the coach. "I wish he would just shut up." She says, before slowly speeding up just a little bit.

[Kumi-chan]

Alex walks along with Bishop and Zoey. She remains silent as she looks at Stud. Luna mewing happily as she sits atop Alex's head.

[Mendi-chan]

"Well, it's nice to meet you dude... Now on to the scoop! Come on Zoey!" Bishop said, making some triumphant strides forward.

[muffinstud]

"Zoey... Sakura and I kinda..." He looks down and slumps his shoulders. "I don't wanna talk about it. Where you guys headed?" He eyes Bishop and watches her stride off.

@______@ "I...never did that. Wait..." Naru looks at the woman and recoils. "I'm not Naru. I mean, my name is Narusegawa Naru, but I'm not her. Not the one from the show. Well, technically yes, but no."

Ray rubs his chin and nods. "This is actually great news. Looks like this vortex or portal or whatever was kind of violent. When the Nexus pulls people from a dead world, it's instant." He folds his arms. "Your world was still very much alive when you left."

[Millinescence]

"Well, yeah! Of course it's great news ^^ " Julia grins.
"Now it's a matter of getting back, nya." Tabatha says. "Thing is, there's no catgirls where we come from. They only exist in animation, nya. I'd be like a freak show if I go to my world. We'd have to turn ourselves back to normal before we leave, and I get the feeling that won't be easy, nya."
"She's right." Julia tells Ray. "If we go back as we are now, no one will recognize us."
