Vic weaves through the cars, bashing those aside he cant fir through with the prow of his car. Finally he comes around a back road to the mall. He starts his way around, skirting the edge of the mall so he could get onto the main road which would lead to the Acme. It wasnt far... hopefully.
The mall's own landscaping has grown quite a bit in the six months since the Ovalisk invasion. And parts of the wall as well as the lights that once illuminated the parking lot were covered in vines. A big sign above the door is missing letters, reading _E_RS. The S and A are shattered on the ground in front of the automatic door, it's glass also broken. An not surprisingly, what was once a paradise for clothes-shopping girls, is now dotted with Ovalisks. Vic could see quite a few of them in the parking lot. Along with...a Ford sedan driving erratically! The sounds of little girls' screaming and giggling emanating from it! However, the Ovalisks didn't chase the brown sedan...that is until they spotted Vic. The Ford turned and started speeding towards the Caddy, with several Ovalisks following behind it. An Ovie can be seen sticking her head out the Ford's passenger side window and waving at Vic as they chased him, drunkenly swerving from side-to-side all the while.
"Wheee~! Fun! Happy!" She giggled.
"Come here and play with us!"Flannery wrote:Flannery looks over and sees one of the creatures try to enter the door. He pulls out a shotgun and pumps it. He fires a beanbag round at the little girl knocking her off. Ellis then reaches over to the steel reinforced door and slides the deadbolt in place locking it shut. He then reaches up to the center of his dashboard and flips a switch. The razor wire that surrounded the tanker suddenly sparks at the little girls that climbed onto the semi are shocked off by 100,00 volts of electricity.
The beanbag round sent her flying to the ground! But caused only minor injuries to the creature.
"You meanie~!" the Ovie sniffled.
"I just wanted to hug you, Mister~!"The other Ovalisks hanging onto the truck got a big jolt! They screamed as the electricity got them. They hit the ground, but they're still alive!
Flannery wrote:Ellis shifts gears and starts to fallow the convoy that just flew past him. He flips on a tv screen. The image shows 4 camera positions. One on the top of the semi, one on both sides, and one underneath. There job is to make sure that he doesn't have any "hitchhikers". A brief check shows nothing that was holding on. Ellis takes out his radio and keys his mike. "Hey convoy! Which one of you is the leader of this pack?"
No Ovalisks were left hanging onto the truck.
((Are you trying to hail the Caddy? Or are you talking to an NPC convoy? ...well, in case it's NPC, I'll reply. Disregard if you're talking to the Caddy.))
A hand briefly stuck out the window of a red pickup in the front.
"This is Red Leader, we have a copy Big Fella." A man's voice cracked in reply.
"Sorry for the close call there buddy. We are heading east-north-east towards the city for some supplies, over."Haylie wrote:Mike can be seen riding a motorcycle near the convoy, a FAMAS on his leg and an RPG on his back. He's within shouting distance, and eyeing the convoy in a very suspicious manner...
Mike Glares at the convoy!

The bunker opens onto the highway, and Harriet takes it at a healthy but cautious clip at about 40 mph, which is a good speed for negotiating the odd stalled car. It's a little sparse still this far out of town, but it starts thickening as she approaches the center.
"I hate that we're such scavengers now.... It wasn't even that long ago that.... we just relied on so much..." Harriet says to Alice, or to the air in the cab. "You know, how we counted on just going to the store to get what we needed? Now... nobody's left to run society... Where is our food going to come from?"
There are a few Ovalisks on the highway, but with a truck going 40mph, they don't give much of a chase.
