Greg smirked, "Let's say hi." he muttered as he limped from the vehicle and tried his best to look as if he hadn't been mortally wounded or upset that he was at a boy's base. They entered in, as they did, they'd notice a rather green-looking soldier saluting his superior officer.

The mech was locked tight and as Chris was slow to make his escape, the mech turned to him and fired. A severely high, shrill shrieking sound as the arm cannon glowed a bright green and expelled a intensely hot, green light that hit just to the side of Chris and hit a tree. Tendrils of smoke wafted from the horribly mangled tree, even the grass around it smoked...and there seemed to be absolutely nothing alive where the beam had touched. A warning shot.
