Greg smirked, "Let's say hi." he muttered as he limped from the vehicle and tried his best to look as if he hadn't been mortally wounded or upset that he was at a boy's base. They entered in, as they did, they'd notice a rather green-looking soldier saluting his superior officer.

"While our guests are recuperating, you're to be assigned on recon. Nothing dangerous, just one of the usual helicopters runs. Once you return, you'll be transferred to their small unit...that is if they'd let someone so new with them." the boy Lieutenant sounded slightly bitter, though not specifically at Mike but more at the wear and tear the war caused the boys and their purpose.

The mech was locked tight and as Chris was slow to make his escape, the mech turned to him and fired. A severely high, shrill shrieking sound as the arm cannon glowed a bright green and expelled a intensely hot, green light that hit just to the side of Chris and hit a tree. The concentrated gamma beam practically melted the foliage, bathing it in a sickly irradiated light. Tendrils of smoke wafted from the horribly mangled tree, even the grass around it smoked...and there seemed to be absolutely nothing alive where the beam had touched. A warning shot.

There were so many odd clothes in that back rack, Charlotte wouldn't know where to start, though something soon caught her eyes. The skirt of the dress was held open and out from the main body of clothes by what seemed to be white, billowy material. Its full detail couldn't be taken in at the moment.

chris stumbles as the beam is fired as he gets up shocked at the damage of that thing as he waves his hands "ok ok ok" he says turning and runs off for a little ways before ducking down behind a tree and peeks out

Surge nodded before saluting the boy. He went towards his room wondering how much mail he should have in his inbox.
"Let me confirm, your shelter shield is activated?"
"What are you planning?!"
"Your shelter is secure, is it?"
"Of course it is! Just see for yourself how powerless you are!"
"...Roger that."

Charlotte explored the clothes, her eyes widening at how how many there were. Back at the boy's base, it had felt like they'd all had just the one set of clothes, and almost everyone looked the same. There was no distinction between clothes for the battlefield and clothes for the base. A shiver ran down her spine as she saw the dress that was pushed open by the billowy material, and came to a sudden stop. Her heart began to race as she stared at it, and then something took over. She couldn't stop herself stepping closer, a hand reaching towards the dress, plunging her fingers into the white, billowing material....

Julian rolls his eyes as he overhears the conversation... someone must not like that kid. But whatever,,, it didnt matter if they stuck one more onto their team of fearless idiots.

He silently walks beside Greg, wondering how they will react to them.

"Yes sir." Mike nods. He notices the people getting out of the vehicle nearby and sees the one boy that's limping. He looks back to the young lieutenant. He figured the boy looked like he'd be a freshman in high school...that is if those men with the goggles didn't take all the adults away. He shudders at image of those men still fresh in his mind. "So...when's the chopper supposed to arrive?"

As Julian and Greg entered the base, they were met with praises, that is until some of the more experienced veterans noticed who was behind Julian. Greg couldn't help but laugh, "Hey boys. Long time no see." he said bluntly before continuing on without a thought as to whether or not anyone would stop him. Most didn't. The younger boys knew very little about him but the older boys seemed to keep their distance.

Since Surge's previous outpost was annihilated, he'd been given a bunk in the officer's barracks with a laptop with which he could check the intranet email. In there he'd discover a couple from boys that'd worried about him after he and his unit disappeared...and a mysterious email...no marker, no sender name...and most importantly, it didn't have the 2189 suffix indicating a message from the higher-ups. It was also encrypted.

The informing boy pointed to the chopper the boys just exited, "It's just being fueled up."

The mech seemed to care little for Chris' cover as it fired once again, this time it whizzed even closer, melting the ground just in front of the tree. If it weren't for the thick piece of wood, he might be looking something akin to the grass that was leaking everywhere. "Strike 2!" the mech called out.

***

The dress came out with some effort and soon Charlotte was holding a heavy feeling dress. It looked almost like a summer dress but it was made of a dark blue denim. While rough and tough on the outside, the inside was a velvety purple silk. The billowy material also felt incredibly soft. "Oooh that's a good one." Hierarch said, "Looks like she picked out your old uniform Mary Anne." to which the maid giggled in nostalgia.

Charlotte blushed, remembering her younger sister had a dress very similar when she was smaller. The Hierarch's voice caused her to turn her head, looking back at them in suprise, while Mary Anne's giggle filled her with a warm, comfy sensation that convinced her she wanted to try the dress. Lifting it over her head, she wriggled her skinny arms in passed the billowing material, through the velvet softness, and tugged it down over herself, arms wriggling through the holes, followed by her head, her blonde hair getting a little messed up and partially caught in the neck of the dress as she pushed her way out from the closet, glancing down to see how long it was.

"This really used to be yours, Mary Anne?".

Surge was very suprised by the amount of mail he got, but obviously was suprised by the unmarked one. Never the less he opened it, wondering who it would be from.

Julian follows, smirking slightly at the boy's reaction to him and Greg. "Looks like they have seen a ghost.''

Greg smirked, "Probably because they have." Greg put quaintly. He was limping around like he owned the place and even though this was a new base, he had already figured the overdone schematics of the building. He was on his way to the adminstrators and battle commanders.

The message of Surge's was simple and ominous: "Harboring an adult. Prepare yourself."

***

The dress wasn't terribly long, because of the pillowy amount of petticoat, the dress was practically horizontal with Charlotte's hips, the petticoats covering her groin area, that is until she might bend over. "Well not THAT one, but I was an artillery trooper." she said shortly.

Surge checked the mail, it was either of two. Some prank or the real deal. Yet he wasnt about to go all paranoid without proof. He sat back on his chair and turned around. "Tch... What now?..."

Catching sight of herself in the mirror, she felt rather distressed by the mess her hair was in, telling herself it was all just because of the drugs she'd been forced, yet her small hands worked quickly to tug the long blonde strands from the neck of the dress. Her fingers dropped back down to play with the edge of the dress as she walked back to the bed, her pace a little slower than normal, taking in the way the petticoats felt around her thighs.

A quick feeling of panic went through her when she heard Mary Anne explain she hadn't always been a maid. The thought of the friendly teenage girl facing danger was something Charlotte didn't like to picture. "What does that mean?", she asked, and then blushed as she realised it would sound like a typical question from such a young girl, "I mean... we never used titles like that at the other base... ". She didn't even say boy's base, it just didn't feel right to bring up that she used to be a boy, even though they all knew it.

"Awesome!" Mike said with a smile as he adjusts the strap holding his Field Master rifle to his shoulders. "I've never ridden in a helicopter before..." He goes to the helicopter to get a better look at it. "I wonder what kind of hardware it has." Mike walks around the helicopter as it's being fueled, examining it.
