The one auxilliary weapon in the back was a rocket-propelled EMP to deactivate anything electronic...such as an enemy helicopter. Soon after, it was finished being fueled and other boys began to get into the bird.

As the helicopter took off, Mike saw the base bustling with activity. Soon though they were out of sight and the recon mission was about to begin, "All right Greenie, it'll be your job to use these binoculars," with that, the pilot reached down and tossed a large set of binoculars to the boy...they looked huge, "And report to the copilot anything unusual. Got that?" as he finished speaking, Mike might notice the sky, turning from its bright cloudless state, to nearly overcast in seconds.

Rachel nodded, "I'm fine...I just feel kind of nauseous..." she said as she breathed short breaths. A loud howl echoed across the forest...perhaps the hybrids had noticed them or perhaps they were calling off their search.

Despite the ominous cloud cover, there wasn't anything immediately that caught Mike's eyes, with or without the binoculars. A low rumble of thunder and lightning had started to happen in the sky.
