[FFRP] The Empowered Valley

[Ookalf]

Right, right! *Lucy grabs the door knob and pulls.*

The door opens easily, and the other woman hurries inside. When Lucy follows, she'll find that the room is rather plain, having several large cots, a table with chairs, and a large treasure chest. She'll see that James was set down, still confused about what's going on.

The other woman is across the room, examining the chest. Before anyone can do anything, the chest's lid flings itself open, as smoke billows out obscuring the other woman. Lucy and James only here a brief "Eeep!" followed by what could only be the chest's lid closing again.

[Ookalf]

*Lucy closes the door as she comes in. Then, once the smoke starts and the chest shuts, she starts making her way over to where the chest was.* Hey! Are you okay?!

There's no answer. As the smoke clears all you see is the chest, which actually seems a little larger then before...

[Knight Errant]

A helicopter makes a pass over the valley. Inside, the pilot scans the ground below, then looks back to his low fuel gage. He was lost... that much was certain. He tries his radio again... frowning as it sends sparks out. It seemed like he was royally screwed this time...

Sighing, Ken looks down at the ground again... looking for a clear place to land. Maybe he could try to fix his radio or something...

Something large slams into the side of the helicopter! Before the pilot can even blink, the cockpit of the currently unstable helicopter is ript open! A creature about the size of a human and some ungodly mix of lizard and falcon, quickly grabs him with one of its talons. He has just enough time to yell out in surprise before he finds himself in a monster's clutches who knows how far above the ground, and his helicopter is plummeting towards the rocky ground.

"Ssso you'd abandon another victom of the valley, without trying? Dessspite your ability to fly, allowing you to essscape the bog'sss influenccce with little effort? The Bog of Night cannot reach outssside itsss boundariesss."

"The sea snake is right, Julianna!" Davina says, her eyes filled with worry and a hint of determination as she motions to the serpent. She then swoops her index finger in the direction of the bog. "I'm scared, but we must try to help that person." The fae flaps her pink butterfly wings and starts hovering a foot off the ground. "We're faeries, we can fly and use magic..." Davina pauses before admitting, "Uhh...I'm only starting to get the hang of magic and all, but that's beside the point. I know it's hard for me to see myself as a boy anymore, but that's what I used to be when I came here, just like you did. So-so we should do something that would make our former selves proud! So...p-please come with me? I can't do this alone..." She looks to Julianna, awaiting her decision.

"I...um..." Julianna starts to say, before pausing, thinking to herself for a good bit, and then nodding. "Okay. I'll come with you..."

[Knight Errant]

"Wha? HOLY HELL!" Ken has hardly enough time to think before he is torn out of his seat! He reaches for his pistol but stops... killing the thing holding him while all the way up here was not a move that would be good for his health.

"Um... hey?" He asks instead...

as it flies to... somewhere, it turns it's lizardlike head and makes an unpleasent hissing like noise. It does seem to be getting lower to the ground, albut slowly.

Ken decides to wait until he is near the ground... or at least over a body of water....

As Ken hangs in the clutches of the lizard/bird he'll notice he's comming close to a picturesque field, with a spring... and what appears to be a sea serpant and two little girls with wings?

[Millinescence]

"I...um..." Julianna starts to say, before pausing, thinking to herself for a good bit, and then nodding. "Okay. I'll come with you..."

"Great~!" Davina smiles, giving Julianna a thumbs-up. "Let's go then, hm? Just focus on moving your wings and you'll get the hang of it in no time."

After Davina help her friend into the air, she looks up and sees some strange lizard-thing flying with a human wearing a detached headset and a pilot helmet. "Julianna! Look up there!" She calls out, pointing at the sky in the direction of the flying lizard.

[Knight Errant]

Ken looks down. "... good enough." He draws his pistol. "Hey, ugly! This is for Sasha!" He aims at the lizard creature's face and fires!

'Sasha' happens to be his chopper.

At this close of range, and catching it by surprise, Ken gets a derect hit! The shot to the head kills it instantly, and both Ken and the monster plummet towards the spring. Ken mangaes to land in the spring, the monster's corpse only manages the tip of a wing, the rest making a horrible crunching noise as the bones break like they were made of glass.

For Davina and Juliana hear a gun shot followed by a man landing in the spring, closely followed by a lizard falcon thingy. The second doesn't land in the spring...

*SPLAAAASH!*

The pilot lands, sending water everywhere! For awhile it seems he might not surface... but eventually he does! Crawling to shore, dripping wet... he still makes sure it is the opposite shore from the girls and serpent.

And somehow, he managed to keep ahold of his pistol.
