[Ookalf]

The chest opens a little bit, the slime girl peeking out, "W-what's going on?"

Oh, nothing much. We're just under attack by a giant monster made of pure darkness, that's all.

[Knight Errant]

((I love how everyone is just watching him XD))

"Ack!" Ken shivers as he is chilled and leeched. Struggling with his shadow, he throws it off of him and unfurls his wings, leaping into the air and drawing his pistol on the demon.

"Right, you asked for it!" He focuses his energy, bracing himself as he fires at the monster!

[all_knowing_frog]

The slime girl's eyes widen, "Oh no!" she pauses for a moment, then reaches disappears back into the chest. She quickly returns, opening the chest more this time, then sets a ornate sword on the ground. "W-would that help?" she asks meekly.

The blast of energy rips through the creature's shoulder, causing its arm to be sepporated and knocked away as the creature screams with a bone chilling voice, clutching its all but gone, but not bleeding, shoulder. It turns and glares at Ken. Many voices start whispering from the darkened bog.

[Ookalf]

The slime girl's eyes widen, "Oh no!" she pauses for a moment, then reaches disappears back into the chest. She quickly returns, opening the chest more this time, then sets a ornate sword on the ground. "W-would that help?" she asks meekly.

It... might. Anyone know how to use a sword?

[Millinescence]

((Okay Frog >.> since you didn't answer the OOC question I asked you in my last post, I'm going to just assume she can use magic once she catches her breath))

Slowly, Davina's energy returns after just catching her breath. "Alright you big meanie!" The faerie shouts at the demon. "I said to leave us ALOONE!!" She flies off and circles around the shadow creature like a falcon and a mouse. She makes her hands form a spherical shape with her fingers and focuses on making an orb of light appear in her hands, and then hovers briefly. Davina aims at the demon's face and throws the energy ball!

This time the beast is ready, seeing the fairy charging the energy ball gave it enough warning to... open up its mouth and swallow the ball? No ill effect seems to happen to the creature. Then its remaining arm stretches impossibly long grabbing the fairy buzzing around it. THe monster's grip applies bone crushing force to the small fay. Thankfully fairies are pretty tough, but still Davina can feel herself being crushed in its giant, clawed hands, her breath being forced out of her and her wings crumpled around her, forced to encircle her body by the creature's grip.

Suddenly it pauses, then reals back, dropping the pore girl, and then seems to have indegestion as light explosively forces its way out of the shadow demon's mouth, a horrible screech ripping through the air. The light soon stops and the monster falls to what amounts to its knees, damage quite obvios, as its jaw seems to have left in quite a hurry.

Shockingly enough, it stands up soon after, the red eyes overflowing with hate as it looks at the winged man and the little fairy. Ken is in a position that would allow him to notice that smaller dark shapes seem to be slowly making their way towards them.

[Knight Errant]

Ken blinks. "I winged him..." But frowns as he sees more shapes moving around. "Guys? I really think we should get out of here. Like NOW."

He levels the gun on the demon again. "As for you... beat it. Or the next shot will take your head off."

[Ookalf]

The thing looks at ken, then grabs for the fairy again.

One of the shapes have cleared the bog, it looks like a person... if they were made from a shadow.

"Life... give it...want it back... you have no need for it... you don't deserve it... life... I want life again..." the human shadow thing seems to be one of the voices the whispering has been coming from.

"The darkness... lift... I need the light... can't reach... rest... tired... empty... life in light... need life... need light... shadows hungry... devour life... live again... death in shadow... cold..."

[Millinescence]

Davina is grabbed! She cries out in pain while unleashing a barrage of expletives no one would expect to come out of a little girl. Pain ripped through her wings as they were forced around her, and she feared they would break! Just then, she was released as the energy ball worked a slightly overdue number on the demon. If it wasn't for her being in pain she would celebrate. Instead she groans and gets up.

"Ngaah~" Davina grunts in pain as her eyes start to water. She slowly moves her wings to bend them back into shape. "Guys, I...have an idea of where to go. I know...how to teleport." She explains, making her way back into the hut. "Everyone inside, hold my hand!"

The faerie screeches as the demon tries to make another attempt to crush her to death! Adrenaline kicks in at this point, and she runs to the hut as fast as her legs could carry her!

[Ookalf]

"Ngaah~" Davina grunts in pain as her eyes start to water. She slowly moves her wings to bend them back into shape. "Guys, I...have an idea of where to go. I know...how to teleport." She explains, making her way back into the hut. "Everyone inside, hold my hand!"

Don't have to tell me twice! *Lucy grabs the unconcious James, then takes Davina's hand.*

[Millinescence]

"Wait, what about Ken? ...And the girl in the chest? We can't just leave them!" Davina says worriedly.

The slime girl, over hearing that they are going to leave throws open the chest by throwing all of herself at the lid, "No! DOn't leave me!" she then stretches herself towards the others, but finds that she's unable to change her demensions enough to reach, "Please! Help me..." sinking to the ground so that looks like she's laying on it, she seems to be crying but it's difficult to tell do to the fact she's... well, goop.

"Okay," She says quickly before looking behind her. "Ken! Just leave that thing! C'mon, we gotta get outta here!" Davina calls out to him. The faerie repositions the group so that the goo-girl is in reach. She makes a slight cringe as she holds the girl's goopy hand.
