The woman smiles sadly. "Hello," she responded, her soft green gaze drawn to the bullet wound. "Ah, yes, I'd imagine that is causing some discomfort. Let me help." She extended a delicate hand in a flash, her deft fingers quickly entering the wound and snatching the blood-covered slug. Her arm retreated from the wound with a shower of green sparks as the wound quickly sealed, leaving not so much as a blemish to suggest that the fatal wound had been there moments ago.
"You're probably very confused," she prompted, her eyes returning to lock with his. Her expression was conflicted, but not difficult to read - a mix of happiness for the renewed life of the young boy... and regretful sorrow. "and that is understandable. After all, you have just had a very scarring near-death-experience... I only just got here in time." She extended her hand again (somehow devoid of gore despite having been plunged into Preston's abdomen moments before), this time in greeting. "I am Annalina - and I am a Faerie."
Though Preston likely didn't realize it yet due to his sitting position, Annalina deftly noted his quickly diminishing height. The boy's once-respectable size had decreased by a few inches already - and the length of his hair seemed to have taken on the excess. The changes had certainly begun... The normally-calm Faerie bit her lip, trying to discern how to continue. "Now, before you call me insane, could it have been anything short of magic that saved you from that gruesome wound that you suffered moments ago?" She shook her head. "Child, I fear you will have to trust me for the next few days... For you have much to learn, and I have much to tell you."

Is a faewild like a Shinigami or...or a spirit?" Preston's fears of death resurfacing as the panic starts to force his voice to rise..." Oh mother, father...I'm so sorry..." he cries out and starts to shed tears of loss and regret, still not realizing what is happening to him.
Ari looks around nervously at the mysterious voice. "Death has returned...? What does that mean?" He says to whoever it is speaking. "Uh... Well, I'm the one that planted the tree but... I'm pretty sure I'm not the one that made it grow so fast, if that's what you mean..." He said, thinking about the strange butterfly he saw that landed on the sapling just before it grew.
"Oh, calm down." The Faerie's sad expression briefly changed to one of motherly impatience, but it was a fleeting gesture. "Your human existence has ended - that I cannot dispute. However, you are far from dead; in fact, under your kind's understanding, you are now immortal.
In order to save your life I altered your life energy to match the energy of my people. You are no longer human - you are Faerie." She motioned to Preston's form, which had progressed roughly halfway through the transformation. His previously-defined chest had softened and was slowly but surely expanding. His hips were now clearly defined, and his rear had begun to curve outwards. His clothes hung very loosely on his frame - his body was now roughly two and a half feet tall. His shirt, previously well-fitting, now billowed around him, the neckline threatening to fall past his slender shoulders. His hair had grown to the small of his back, tickling the exposed skin as the locks flowed into the collar of his massive shirt. "The Faerie are beings of the Faewild - mystical forests and enchanted woods that occur throughout the planet you call Earth. You have been given the rare gift of entrance into our lands - and you will be counted as one of our kin as if you had been born to us."

As she points out the changes to Preston, he looks down and the neck of his shirt slips off one of his shoulders as he gasps and reaches up to his changing body. His hair pops loose from the back of his shirt , causing the shirt to slip even further and almost exposing one of his newly forming breasts..."how...how...What do you mean. I ...>eeep!!!<...I'm a girl faerie?"

Just seeing this wonderful tree is reason enough. But, did that voice say Faeries? I had read vague tails that they were real, but to have the honor of meeting any ..."
