Rain is such a cruel thing.

Postby KonokoHasano » Wed Aug 11, 2010 10:19 am

The last three nights we have had thunderstorms. That in itself isn't a bad thing, but the amount of rain from those three nights has caused flooding all around the city, and this flooding is apparently worse than the floods of 1993 and 1998 that we had here back then.

._. The apartments that my mom and I used to live in years ago appear to be flooded, and the trailer park next to those apartments is COMPLETELY flooded, with some cars almost completely submerged. In fact, it seems as if they were evacuating the park and apartments.

Hell, the end of our street is flooded as well. Hopefully it stays there and doesn't flood any more, but dang.

And apparently, there's currently a deer problem in places, since the things have no where to really go right now, and a great aunt of mine has an opossum sitting on her front porch because of the flooding.

Ouch. That sucks.

Well either it is too much rain or no rain. Right now where we live there is no rain. Thus making business hard for my dad.

That stinks. What's his job, anyway?

Having to rely on the weather, or being at its mercy, is bothersome, but there's nothing one can do. XD

He is a landscaper. Mostly cut yards. So when it doesn't rain that often, the grass doesn't grow and sometimes customers would ask him to skip that week due to having no grass to cut.

Yeah. It sucks but that is how the cookie crumble.

Send the rain down here, we need it. It's hot and dry.

Whoo-whee, did we get a storm last night or what?!

...Anyway, yeah. I was woken up at around 2:30 in the morning because of a really bad headache, and while I was trying to go back to sleep there was a fantastic display of lightning and rain going on outside. It's still raining now, even if it's not lightning anymore.

If only catching rain was as simple as lassoing it, but Thor would probably kill me for trying that. = 3=

Ambush: Honestly, I like the rain, but I prefer it when it's raining during the day then at night... or at least when it's cloudy. At night... it's really an 'eh, oh well' situation. XD

Sounds neat. I bet it's annoying when it's sweltering hot outside, though >.<

It does but after awhile you get use to the heat and accept it. Kind of like building a tolerance to it. That why I laugh a little to myself when people complain about heat or get mad a bit when people in NY are complaining about how hot it is. haha

Also it is good and quick money.
