[Sweet sweet conflict....*laughs maniacally*]

Justin and Brian Samples, impressed more by Surge's rank than Julian's suggestions, quickly followed behind the higher-ranking officer and immediately took positions on the large side-mounted vulcans positioned in the middle of both passenger entrances.

"I-i-i-i I'm a little scared of flying..." Wyatt admitted and took to Julian's side. "And I personally equipped the semi truck with several electrical devices that I can man."

The two silent stoics also took to Julian's side, remaining quiet as always.

With expert precision, every monitor did exactly as Charlotte did at different angles. Most had a slanted eagle eye view, while some were more level...some so close that Charlotte swore that she should have seen them...but no matter where she looked, all she saw were the monitors. Some, even, had a more personal angle than she would have preferred, some looking down at her shoes, up her legs, or...even higher. Every square inch of her body was a sight for the screens.

"Impressive, no?" a deep voice asked behind her.

Charlotte felt her chest tighten as the monitors showed her movements perfectly, and she sucked in a deep breath as her gaze darted around them to gaze at what they showed, cringing how some showed her body in closer detail than the others. Her cheeks flushed red as she stared at one showing her childish legs and the way the little black bodysuit hugged her girlish bottom, others showing the braid flicking across her back as she turned, clasping one hand against her backside and tugging the wet clothing from between her cheeks when the voice from behind her made her squeal in suprise. There was enough of the trained soldier inside her to make her turn, but enough of a frightened little girl there too so that she fell over at the same time, landing on her bottom with her knees pushed up slightly, her large rifle clattering the metal floor. For a moment, she couldn't even bring herself to look up, but sat there, staring down at the floor between her bare legs, her hands planted each side of her, her mind filled with the close-up shots of her childish body on the monitors as that question went through her head... impressive, no? Blushing brightly, she slowly lifted her head to look up into the doorway she'd come through...

(:3)

The helicopter's blade started to swirl and slowly took off. He's so focused on flying he doesn't notice the others that stayed, but with that he quickly made course to the base in need.
"Let me confirm, your shelter shield is activated?"
"What are you planning?!"
"Your shelter is secure, is it?"
"Of course it is! Just see for yourself how powerless you are!"
"...Roger that."

Brnin8r wrote:The jeep drove straight and true as Alana drove it into the night, it took nearly three hours to get to the base, but thankfully it was uneventful. The waiting doors of the bay were open for her jeep...though if she looked around, it seemed that the guards weren't at their post.

As Alana drove into the garage, there was no radio transmission or greeting, simply echoing silence. It was almost eerie, though there were still several jeeps and bikes around the large room.

*Alana parked the jeep and tapped Rachel on the shoulder gentlly.*

"Rachel-Chan we are like here. We are home. I have to get you to the infirmary. Do you want me to carry you or do you want to walk? Or do you want me to help you walk by letting you lean on my shoulder?" Alana asked as she looked around.

"What is it with this place? No one is here to greet us? This is like totally weird. Rachel-Chan are you okay?" Alana asked as she continued to tap Rachel on the shoulder gently.

Julian nods to Wyatt as he gets into the truck and starts it up, anxious to not be left behind. "Give me a rundown on them if you would. I'd like to know what we have if we get into combat on the road."

He takes off down the road with his passengers...
O Muse!
Sing in me, and through me tell the story
Of that man skilled in all the ways of contending,
A wanderer, harried for years on end...

[Gah...I love how I finally get the motivation to kick this back up and my landlord suddenly loses our internet and somehow can't call them to fix it. (turns out he'd just blocked me from the network the last couple weeks I was there...which makes him a bastard) *ahem* Anyway. I have moved into a new apartment, so hopefully these unexpected retard moments will be my fault and within my control.]

The helicopter made the best time by far; Sarge's two brothers were at both vulcan cannons, letting the barrell whirl a few seconds at a time so there wasn't so much lag time between aiming and bullets actually firing, "Sir!" yelled Brian, "Where should we put down at so we can clear a path?"

***

As the large semi rumbled down the road, Julian could feel how easily the steering and bumps came. Unlike what he'd seen as a boy: the lumbering metal beasts on the road, this was a smooth ride. "I modified the shock absorbers and suspension for less bumps...they make me nauseous. And while there aren't many weapons in the cab, its the trailer that really packs a punch." Wyatt said enthusiastically, glad that someone was around to here him speak.

***

Rachel's eyes blinked open, "A...Alana...?" she said tired, "What's going on...where are we?" The garage was still silent, that is until a loud grating noise sounded and the large sliding door into the complex creaked open. It was a little girl about 14 trying her hardest to open the door, though it was obvious her strength wasn't up to par halfway through. Her cheeks were tear-stained and she whimpered a little, running over to where the car was, "A...are you here to help us?..."

***

Chris would be greeted with silence for only a moment as the rat-at-at of bullets whizzed out blindly from the portal, a few hitting the trees around him but nothing serious.

***

Standing tall above the timid and solitary girl was a man. An actual adult! His weathered face was framed by white hair that was tied back in a ponytail and a stubbly beard of the same color; bright blue eyes piercing out from his worn face hinting at an unnatural wisdom and intelligence. He wore a sharp grey suit with shining cufflinks, each designed with an unknown emblem. His hands were crossed in front of him and he looked very grandfatherly. "The screens. The space station. The state of the world. Do you think its impressive?" he asked again, though he wasn't frustrated; in fact, it seemed like he was amused and enjoying himself, as if he hadn't spoken to a child in some time.

Charlotte's mind almost broke when she saw the adult standing above her. A rush of conflicting emotions swelled up inside her as she stared in disbelief, her mouth hanging open for a good few moments. Did a boy count as a boy if he was an adult? As far she knew, nobody had seen an adult in years, so there was never a reason to think about it before. It was quite a struggle to take her eyes off him, as she highly suspected it was just her mind playing tricks, and when she looked back he would be gone, but she gazed up at the screens again and blushed. If this meant to end of the war... she'd survived as a boy for over two years, and then days before the end... she'd become a girl. Now THAT stirred up conflicting emotions, but deep inside she new the mind-altering drugs had a lot to do with that. So many questions wanted to be asked, it was overwhelming trying to decide which came first. "I guess so... ", she murmured in a timid tone, still sitting on the floor. She didn't trust her legs to hold her weight if she did try and rise to her feet. "All the adults are gone... wh-where did you come from?", she asked.

"We're going to circle the place and see what's going on. If need be we'll send this choppa right at the enemy forces" replies Surge like he has no care in the world. He looked back at the kids. "Of course, maybe we wont need to. What I can assure you is that we'll kick some Cobra"

"We have like made it back to our base, but something is weird about it. There was now greeting or anything and none of the guards were around." Alana said to her best friend as she continued to hold her up. "We have to get you to the infirmary and fast."

*Looks toward the little girl.*

"Well we will help you, if you try to explain what happened here. This is our home base of operations." Alana said to the little girl. "Why is it so quiet in here?"

(Not sure when I will post again. I am still dealing with the death of my Grandmother last Tuesday. I will be back around some other time, but I think I am going to go into another hiatus from posting on here.)

((I'm just glad you didnt vanish for eternity! o.o))

Julian nods. The ride was rather smooth, but that isnt liable to help them in a firefight. "So, whats in the trailer then?"

He continues, pushing the truck hard to try to keep up... but not too fast as to be reckless. He looks up at the helicopter ahead and grumbles something under his breath.

The helicopter soon left sight of the semi and was humming on its way to the base in peril. They'd been flying for nearly half an hour and as the time dragged on, a small pillar appeared in the distance around the bend of the mountain range. "Uh oh..." said one of the brothers behind Surge. "You think it was those...guys that attacked us?" the other one asked confused.

***

"Well...its a little difficult to get in because half of the trailer is suped up with mobile artillery." Wyatt touched a button on the gps and a new interface appeared, that of a nostalgic look of Mech Warrior. "Two side cabins will fold out, revealing two gatling gauss cannons, the top will fold out for a 16-missile array, able to reload itself three times. And in the middle of those three, enough rounds to keep the gauss cannons firing at full capacity for nearly an hour. The open bays for transporting are lined with siege cannons and RPGs...this thing was my personal project given by the original council to storm girl bases by itself. But the council never saw any of the plans or test results...seems like they were focusing on some other project..."

***

The little girl shook with fear and spoke to Alana. "We were attacked...some girls were taken...the rest are hurt and are sleeping in the cafeteria..."

***

(The portal you mean the hole in the wall or the portal in the cylinder?)
The bullets fly wide until such point as the DM is enlightened lol.

***

The man smiled. He didn't seem at all dangerous. "I'm from earth just like you. Though I've obviously moved." he turned around and, pulling a remote from his pocket, turned all the monitors to the same image, that of Charlotte. A single angle of the timid girl, "Do you know who you are? In this wide...wide...universe?" as he spoke the second sentence, the monitors flickered to a view of the earth, as if the screens were small cells of a large window, and then it switched to a view of the solar systen, and then a picture of the milky way.

Surge kept quiet for a bit, a sigh breaking his silence. "Probably... But if thats true, we know their weakness anyways. Explosives and armor piercers" replied Surge looking back at his crew with a grin. "We'll just beat them like last time" he added, before turning back to flying the copter. "We'll be there soon..."

A small frown creased her brow as she looked up at the man, and she reached for her gun as he slipped his hand into his pocket, although she was too afraid and tired to actually use the thing, and he'd pulled the remote out before she could even aim the rifle at him. Her young age seemed a bigger problem now than it had before, the gun so heavy as she sat there on the floor, her legs spread infront of her, and gazed up at the image of herself on the monitors before they changed to show the planet, the solar system, and then the milky way. "What do you mean?", she asked, sounding puzzled. "I'm Charlotte.. ". It came so natural now. She didn't have to say her name was Charlotte because a girl demanded it of her... it just came out that way. "I was looking for a girl... because somebody... wait... because y-you attacked our base... why?", she asked, sounding like a little girl on the verge of tears.
