yugi arrived to do a survey of the house. sent here to do government work, (his most dispised kind) he started setting hisgear up. the house looked in good shape so he figured it couldnt be for any housing violation.

*A maid opens the door and comes out to meet Yugi.* Excuse me... Can I help you with something?

"yes, im here to do a survey for the property. may i set up and then i can get out of your way quickly miss"

...Callista. Let go of my hand, or I will be forced to hurt you.

Callista: *stirs a little* Mph. Mmph. *blinks, stares dazedly at what's caught between her teeth, and looks between it and Circe a few times* Mh? Mgo Mfhch. *opens her mouth just enough to release Circe's hand*

[Circe]

"yes, im here to do a survey for the property. may i set up and then i can get out of your way quickly miss"

Really? Does, uh, Miss Circe know about this?

Callista: *stirs a little* Mph. Mmph. *blinks, stares dazedly at what's caught between her teeth, and looks between it and Circe a few times* Mh? Mgo Mfhch. *opens her mouth just enough to release Circe's hand*

*Circe pulls her hand out of Callista's mouth.* Thank you.

Callista: *pulls herself, and the chair, off the floor without letting go of the sandwich* Mphe? Hmph! *swallows the large bite of sandwich that she'd taken; looks a little disgusted* I realize you had to wake me up, but why'd you have to do that? You could've just jolted me or something!

[Circe]

*Circe sits back down.* It was the first thing I thought of, honestly.

Anyway, I'll just leave these here... Call us if you need anything! *The maid sets everything on the table and leaves the room.*

Callista: *nods thankfully at the maid before returning her attention to Circe* Well, if you have to do that again, use a fishing rod or something. *winces at an old memory* As Blossom and I can both testify, dangling something tempting over our noses while we're unconscious is a bad idea.

[Circe]

I'll be sure to keep that in mind next time.

*Callista decides to savor the sandwich instead of replying to that. After a few moments, it becomes apparent that she's enjoying it... perhaps a little too much, if that somewhat-out-of-it grin should show.*

Callista: Ah, love. And yet... parting is such sweet sorrow, until such a time as the subject is devoured, at which point I am happy again.

[Circe]

Right... *Circe starts eating her sandwich.*

...Say, do you have any kind of Halloween plans? It's getting to be that time of year.

Callista: *swallows* Yeah. I was going to hang out at HQ back home and see what the local comedians have in store for the area's resident trick-or-treaters. If it rains there, like if there's a storm or something, I was going to just stay at one of the apartments instead and watch an Abbott & Costello film.

[Circe]

Ah. No parties or anything, then?

Callista: I never did like the holidays very much. *takes another bite* Part of it was from my upbringing, and the rest comes from how commercialized they tend to be. So, I and several others go out of our way to mock them instead. *smiles wistfully at some memory or another*

[Circe]

Suit yourself. *Circe shrugs and goes back to her sanwich.*
