Make a TF Foundation: Shay vs High School!

She makes it to the door when...

"Oh, you have Mrs. Gatsby too?" Jess gives her a grin as she squeezes through the doorway. "That's weird. Justin has this class with me as well. Maybe we'll see him?" Her grin gets wider and she takes her seat happily.

Veronica stiffles a grown as she looks for an out of the way corner seat in the back... one that was preferably not next to her new... 'friend'...

Fortunately, there is just such a seat. A good ways from Jess is an empty seat, and it happens to be next to a boy with nice wavy black hair and strong looking arms. He must be on the football team or something; he has the air of an athlete. He notices Veronica and gives her a cocky smile. "Hello there. I don't think I've seen you around before."

Veronica quickly moves to not look at him. She did not want to spend the entire class staring at him. She also tactfully decided to not respond.

At least it can't get any worse.

Veronica hears a slapping sound. "Jim? Who are you talking to?" The voice is shrill and agitated. "Just because a pair of boobs sits next to you, doesn't mean you should talk to them." "Sorry, babe. Just trying to be friendly." "You SHOULD be friendly with me..." "Sandy... not in class..."

The bell rings, thankfully silencing the couple.

Veronica sighs as she sets her attention to the school board, not wanting any trouble. She did her best to pay attention to the board... and not the stud next to her.

Jason hears the scream and the slap out in the hall. Looking in he sees Veronica try to be invisible but failing as she is as pretty if not mores then Sandy is at the moment. Noting her class is next door to his, he smiles as he heads off to his next class, planning to catch up with her during the next class intermission...

@Jason: That would be lunch. Right after this period. Ooh, the patience, she is thin!

It's English. Yay for words. The teacher really isn't helping with the breakdown of Beowulf's various references to gifts and drinking and the like. It's like she's purposely talking about all the uninteresting parts on purpose. Jim next to her coughs a couple times, once sounds more like "Hey you," than an actual cough.

Veronica tastfully ignores him, spending him no mind. She's tempted to flip him her middle finger... but she's pretty sure that'll get her in trouble, and she was going to remain unnoticed.

Veronica is handed a note! Oddly enough, it comes from the kid in front of her. Jim seems to have given up for the time being, mostly because of a painful yelp he lets out, followed by a nasal and satisfied humpf from his girlfriend.

Veronica raises her eybrow. She thinks for a bit... hmmm... should she go out of her way to get ignored, or what? She idely opens the note when she thinks the teacher isn't looking.

The note reads as such:

Hi, Justin. Please don't freak out that I know it's you. I figure you've got questions about your new look. If you want some help with anything, I'll be happy to help.
Jess.

[Shy Shay]

Veronica gasps. She quickly hides the note, and tries to stand to attention. This was not what she needed. Not at all.

How is she supposed to stay unnoticed if everybody keeps noticing her?!

The teacher continues her lecture for a good long while, until the bell rings. Quick as lightning, Jess approaches her. "Doing okay? I figure you might wanna talk before 6th period."

Veronica stares at her with a slight glare.. "I'm fine. I'll live. How did you find out?" She is short and to the point.
