Make a TF Foundation: A new Werewolf

Kevin is just now noticing that his own native form is a bit different too, though certainly not in a bad way..he decides he must buy new, slightly looser clothes that will make him look like he usually did before at work...a haircut might be in order. But yes...research. Once he's fully clothed, he goes to the laptop at his bedroom desk, which he thankfully was nowhere near last night, and brainstorms search terms. Of course, he's already confirmed a good bit of his prior knowledge was entirely fictional, and has to think of something that might find truthful statements...or maybe somewhere he's been that was accurate based on what he knows so far from experience...

((Eh, waaay back on page one I said it was Friday afternoon, but that's up to you I guess))

Hmmm... she doesn't get much... but she does get something about a story telling later that evening at the local library about werewolf lore. From the little blurb that was describing it, it sounds pretty acurate. It's better then nothing, at least.

[I would think so, though I suppose you could describe what she is doing thought the day. it's up to Whatever, really.]

Story telling...it would look weird, and maybe a little creepy for a random male adult to show up for one of those. But after all, he could always just visit the library and sit nearby inconspicuously, pretending to read another book. He thinks about the idea of fighting and is immediately reminded of every philosophical objection he has to the idea of a society where stronger is assumed to be better. Then again, it was kind of fun...and since it did determine rank, it would be a good idea to keep moving around and not stagnate, not open up the possibility of being at a certain rank so long as to have a mate chosen. He had absolutely no idea whether that plan would work, but it was the only one he could think of at the moment. He looked up nearby martial arts teachers...maybe some jeet kun do or something during his free time would be worthwhile.

((That'd be fine with me, make plenty of sense.))

Local martial arts teachers are actually quite easy to find. There are several ones available... judo, kung-fu, karate, stuff like that. You just have to know where to look. However, they do cost money. That's the key problem.

Generally Kevin stays frugal with his financial decisions, and his job pays moderately...so he can certainly afford most of the more reasonably-priced martial arts places. Being frugally-minded, though, he does try to think of or look for alternatives, certainly.

Well, he could always try to teach himself, or buy one of those 'teach yourself kung-fu' DVD's. But it's highly unlikely that that is anywhear near as good as an actual teacher.

Mira's figure flies into an apartment complex and hid in the shadows. Some shuffling sounds could be heard as a figure with long hair seem to be moving around in there. It looks around a bit and then with a quick dash made a run for the one of the doors on the first floor. A gray cloth was warped around the body as it quickly opened the door that had a sign on it that read: "In books we trust." The door then closed shut and locked.

A real teacher it is then...figuring he can probably adapt any self-defensive art into the free-for-all fighting the werewolves do, Kevin bases his decision on proximity to his home and price.

Ah, that one is promising. A 'Sensei Yuu'. She seems compitent, and relativly cheap, not to mention cose. It also has extra classes if you impress the teacher to help form your own style, or adapt it to something else, on the full moons.

Of course, on the full moons he is a she and a giant wolf...

A couple of thoughts come to Kevin's mind: First, he wonders why the private lessons would only be on the full moon, and arrives at the possibly-biased suspicion that she either knows about werewolves or is one..it's just the only logical reason he can think of at the moment; second, he need not be terribly impressive to learn things, and since this would be a paying-customer relationship he could surely back down from private lessons if he had something 'important' to do at the same time. He decides to head out and sign up for this one once it's not so early in the morning..probably after breakfast of some sort.

The beginners class for adults is after hours, during the dark. He might have to get used to staying up a bit late.

At the same time, that could be convenient...he wouldn't have to skip it for work or anything. It's not too terrible a sacrifice, anyway. But if that's the case...what to do now, during the day? After staying up all night, he'd been fully expecting to suddenly drop dead-asleep of tiredness, but was inexplicably fine.

Well, he could go to the story telling. It's said to happan the day after every full moon, and that fits today's bill pretty well.
