Kevin looks back to see what time the reading is..and afterward, goes to make breakfast if he's even hungry.

The reading is in... two hours. And he isn't that hungry... but he does have an odd craving for raw meat.

"Ugh..." he's going to have to negotiate that craving. After all, he can't buy tons of meat all the time and keep it in his refrigerator; it would be very expensive and suspicious. For now though, he does have some microwavable sausage-and-biscuits in the freezer portion, and puts a couple of those in the microwave. Precooked frozen is absolutely nothing like raw, after all, and thawed is better than that.

True, true. The want remains, but it's more like a backround buzz then anything else.

In a similar sense, he also has slightly increased senses. Smell, taste, sight, hearing. Even touch.

After eating breakfast, Kevin goes back to his room to take care of a few work and finance related things that he'd been planning on doing last night..which of course weren't possible then. He keeps an eye on the clock, stopping when there are about fifteen to twenty minutes left till his planned library outing.

And behold, time passes at a normal rate. After a time, it is time to go to the library! Huzzah!

Kevin leaves and drives to the library...which is not within convenient walking distance. No such thing as a perfect location, after all. He goes inside and looks around for where the reading might be..pretending to browse the books, of course.

It appears to be in the reading area; a area full of comfy chairs that is in a cross section between the young adult, adult, and childrens sections.

Since there's still a few minutes, Kevin picks a random book from nearby (one with a title that suggests it might be slightly, but not too interesting), and sits down on one of the chairs to wait.

Soon the library starts filling up with kids of all ages. Meaning anybody under ten. They all looked eager to hear about the creatures that were monsters during the full moon and normal during the day. They were chatting up a storm.

Then they all hushed.

The source was an old women with a cane that entered the library. She slowly hobbled to the chair at the front of the room, and the kids moved so that she would have enough room to get to her chair.

There is a mysterious air about her... like a witch, but not a bad kind... like magic, but not like Harry Potter... she feels like she is older then the earth, older then the stars, and older even then time. Like she's seen everything but chooses to not interfear. Like she has the power of the gods but lives like a pauper.

She settles down into her chair with a creak. She begins speaking in a voice that sounded like a whisper in the trees, and yet echoed through the room like a megaphone.

"Now, my children, let us begin the story of the rise and fall of the great werewolf's. It is an epic story, one that is not told anymore becouse all have forgotten. Except for me." She smiles in a weary, and yet genuine, way. If there was any chatter left in the room, there wasn't now. All the kids and all there parents are silent. Even the librarians know to not speak.

In the library was a thin girl with long black hair carrying what seems like too many books. She had huge red glasses that covered her eyes. She seem busy as she was going from run end of the library to the other. She was quickly going towards the area where Kevin was.

Kevin watches over the top of the book...turning a page every once in awhile to make it seem as if he's still reading.

The old woman begins her story. "Once, long, long ago, back when the moon was new to the sky, the first werewolfs walked the earth. They were normal humans, just like you. They were the few that were truely in touch with nature. They obtained there form by eating a very special flower when the full moon was in the sky."

She coughs to clear her throught. "There was on in particular; the queen of the werewolfs. She was the daughter of the wolf godess and the god of humans. She ruled the wereworlfs, and introduced them to the world."

"They were strange. They were powerful. They were not accepted. But the queen of the werewolfs, with her eyes as red as blood, eventually reached peace. They co-existed with humans peacfully, living together."

"Back then, they could not spread what they were by a bite. No. These were pure werewolfs."

"But that all changed when a werewolf that went by the name of 'Master' came in. He seemed to be of peace. He was the brother of the queen of the werewolfs... but instead of being born during the night, he was born in the dead of day."

"He practiced with his power, becomeing stronger and stronger, until one day he was strong enough to beat the queen. He beat her half to death and ripped away her wolf half, leaving her as a human... but not quite a human."

"And then things began to change."

She coughs, clearing her throught.

The girl had paused for a bit as the old lady told her story. She knew the lady came by to tell stories and she never found them boring even though she had maybe heard them a few times. It was rare that she get to have time to hear them though as she was working. The girl then began to walk but was a bit slower.

Kevin listens, at one point making a quick double-take of the older woman to see whether her eyes are red..surely he'd have noticed that earlier. He idly wonders whether this story means much to the children..before his thought process jumps back to the mention of eating flowers. Perhaps that's what happened yesterday...but if that's the case, what was some random little girl doing selling them?
