On the one hand, of course, the guy was right--Paulette hadn't the slightest idea what the thing did; just that this weird looking guy might be interested in makeup, given that he was already wearing some liptstick. On the other hand, this guy was also a weirdo who didn't look nearly as good as he seemed to think he did, and talked in a way that made her feel like she was undereducated or something.
"Well...it's a makeup case. Maybe it never runs out?"
She gives a sharp shrug...but from what the guy can see, the case does not seem to be offering up any of its secrets. The design seems somewhat antiquated, but inside it seems to have the basics of what any makeup kit should have--namely makeup--and it all seems to be in pretty good supply and condition considering having just been buried in the mess that was the store.
Oh, nothing in particular... Like I said, I was just sort of curious about what this place is about.
Turning away from the man in black, Paulette gives Richard another small, cold smile. It rather matches her bone-white complexion.
"Okay...well, you're here for magic then...so..."
Holding up the wand she'd offered previously to the guy in black, Paulette gives a small shrug.
"Maybe this would be good for you? Or, say, one of these?"
Scrambling back to the main desk, she pulls out a brightly-colored egg from a box she'd carried out from the back just a little while before. She felt a bit silly running around like this, but the faster she sold things off, the faster she'd be able to stop playing shop-girl, at least in theory...
