MATFF: Role Reversal

"Mom leftcha' at home again, huh? Man, I'm jelouse. If I was left alone every night I could actually get some work done!" She sighs. "But yeah, sure hting; I'll be right over. Just let me get my supplies and I'll jog right over."

Katherine had avoided using words like Mom, but Amanda's response confirmed it... Jessica's magic was a lot more stronger than she'd first thought. It was frightening, and sent a shiver down her spine. "Sure... see you in a bit... ", she replied, before ending the call and letting out a groan. Getting to her feet, she staggered to the dresser and stared at her reflection. Just behind her in the mirror, she caught sight of Jessica's computer, which she guessed now belonged to her. With a skip of her heartbeat, she raced over and jumped into the chair. Reluctantly, she'd let some of the sweeter girls in her class talk her into creating a Facebook account, and had slowly built up a collection of friends made up of actual friends and students. Nervously, she filled in her login details and clicked submit.

The facebook page wasn't filled with much. It had some normal details, and, apparently, she was part of 'Team Edward'. Great. She had a small list of friends, all of which had names that she actually recognized. It was a mix of her old adult friends and her old child friends. The whole layout is rather girly and young-looking, with a few Disney princesses here and there posted on the sides.

Katherine shook her head as she looked over the page. Jessica had made it clear how much she disliked the Twilight books and movies, but there were some girls she taught that had talked to her about them quite a lot, but she'd never actually read or watched any of them herself. She bit her lip at the Disney Princesses, and then clicked on a name she recognised as one of her students, to see if anything had changed there.

Not really. Her name is Sarah; she was always a goody two shoes, which was part of the reason why she was a favorite of all the teachers. The other is that she's the daughter of the princable.

Katherine sunk down a little in the chair, and wondered if the girls that had liked her as a teacher would still like her when she turned up tomorrow as a student. Opening up her music folder, she was both suprised and relieved to find that alongside a bunch of pop songs she'd never heard of, was also her old music collection for older tastes. In a few clicks, she had a gentle classical track playing, and it started to relax her while she went back to exploring the people on Facebook. Searching through the list, she clicked on another of her adult friends, although this one not so close, a woman called Rebecca that worked as a vet in the town, curious to see if she'd been sucked into all this like Amanda had.

Rebecca appears to be an adult; it seems that she has visited her on occasion to check out her various failed pet exparments. Her mom almost alwaysed forgot to buy food.

Katherine was glad to see Jessica's spell hadn't involved everyone she knew, but was also a little embarrassed Rebecca was still a mature woman and she was now a teenager. Closing down the web page, she went to explore her bookshelf, and sure enough found all the Twilight novels, along with the Harry Potter ones. She almost fell over hen she saw there were pictures of her teen self in a cheerleader uniform on the wall. "No way...", she murmured. She'd always tried to push Jessica into cheerleading and other extra clubs, but school sprit was something her daughter had not cared for.

As Katherine continues to look, she finds some more evidence of other clubs, like the swim team and the student council. Soon she hears the familar door bell ring... Amanda must have arrived.

Katherine covered her mouth, letting out a gasp as she saw the swim club and student council photographs. "Oh my god, I'm the teenage daughter I always wanted... ", she muttered, before the doorbell made her jump. Running out of the bedroom, she scampered down the stairs, her heart still racing as she tugged open the front door...

And in front of her is her teenaged friend, Amanda! She has an artist cap as well as a rather large bag with paint splotches. It appears to be filled with art suplies. She is wearing a tie die shirt that she made herself, as well as a pair of blue jeans. "Heya, Katty. Woulda been here sooner, but the parental units required some convincing."

Katherine's eyes widened as she took in a sight she'd not seen for a long, long time, Amanda as a teenager. "No worries... ", she said, a smile spreading across her lips as she stepped back and motioned for the girl to come inside. "Atleast your parents have some grasp of responsibility... ", she muttered, shaking her head as she thought back to Jessica's earlier behaviour.

Amanda shrugs as she walks inside. "At least she lets you DO stuff. So, where should I put my stuff?"

Katherine closed the door and shrugged her shoulders. "Wherever you want. Bring them up to my room?", she asked as she started to move towards the stairs, and then leaned over the railing to peer through the large glass panel that acted as a window into the pool area. "Hey... wanna go in the pool? You can borrow a swimsuit... ".

"Oooh, that's right! You have a pool! I would love that! Though I don't need a swimsuit..." It is known that Amanda enjoys skinny dipping, but doesn't care enough to fight off a swimsuit.
