Zack sighs to himself as he makes his way to the unemployment office. Being a 22-year-old with a GED, it was pretty tough trying to find a job around here at all. Stopping at one of the crosswalks, waiting for the light to change and let him continue, Zack just sighed a little as he looked back on just why he found himself in this position. From his 1st grade year and onward he had gotten picked on, even in his senior year. About to turn 18, Zack was sick and tired of all of the torment and such from being constantly picked on -- he was a bit shorter than everyone else was, standing at 5'6" tall, and that really didn't help, plus an episode in first grade where he accidentally peed in his pants, which no one was going to let him forget about, even into his senior year.
So, with all of this, Zack decided to drop out and get his GED, much to the chagrin of his parents, who promptly kicked him out after he turned 18 and got his GED. Feeling like he was pretty much excommunicated from his family with this, Zack went out and to a fairly big city, trying to live on his own for roughly the past four years. However, after initially finding at least some type of job that helped pay the rent, with the recent economic downturn Zack wound up losing his job and had been living on unemployment checks for the past several months. He had known his unemployment checks weren't going to last for forever, and after having run out of them a month ago, he was at the end of his ropes. Zack knew that if they didn't have a job for him he would have to go back home...and try to patch things up...if he could even really make it back home. Home was a few hours away...by car, something he had lost shortly after he lost his job, which he found himself unable to pay for.
Sighing to himself, Zack began to wonder how things would be if they had turned out differently, and because of this, nearly stepped out in front of a car, which promptly woke him back to his senses with some honks of the horn, causing him to jump back onto the sidewalk abruptly. Mumbling to himself, Zack waited until the light changed and began to rush to the unemployment office, hoping and praying they had something for him, finally...
