"Dang...that really has to suck~." Sam says, frowning a little.

Ellen: *winces* ...I don't know if I should chastise you for using that word, or glare at you for the pun.

Sam pauses for a moment. "I made a pun~? Um...sorry, nya~?" She says, before quickly going back and slurping up her milkshake.

((OOC: That's alright. It occurred to me as I was reading it, what with the mosquitoes and everything, and... yeah. ))

Ellen: ...Well, the timing of it was... *doesn't finish, unsure how to continue*

Sam frowns a little and pauses. "Well, um, anyways~?" She says, trying to change the subject.

Ellen: ...Right. What kinds of books do you like to read?

[Marky]

Sam pauses for a moment. "Books~? Well, um...I don't really read any books~."

[AmbushCat]

Ellen: ...Why not? They can be entertaining, even informative. *reaches under the table, withdrawing a Tom and Jerry comic book that was stashed there* ...Although I prefer entertaining.

[Marky]

Sam shrugs a little. "Not enough money, until I came here, but I still don't have all that much~." She says, before peering over at the Tom and Jerry comic.

Ellen: *opens the comic and starts reading it to herself* ...Maybe you could talk to Miss Wilson-Metallium when she returns next month. She could help you with that.

[Marky]

Sam blinkblinks a little. "Miss Wilson-Metallium~? Who's that, nya~?"

Ellen: ...The person who owns this ship and everything in it. My mom is the manager she hired.

[Marky]

Sam blinks a little. "Oh...never seen her around~."

[AmbushCat]

Ellen: ...It's understandable. She only comes here a few times each year, and that's only to make sure everything is in order. ... ...She's a nice person at heart, although her stomach and her purse tend to rule her life.

"Ohh, okay~." Sam says, blinking a little at the stomach and purse ruling her life part, though.
