"I am a person with a lot of knowledge and skills but I am not a master of any of them. It is just the fact that I am well verse in many things." K nods to Laura. "Sure I wouldn't mind seeing them."

*Elk pops his head out somewhere, smiling happily*

Laura carefully takes one of the scroll cases and gently opens, removing an ancient parchment. She holds it out for K to examine. "Here you are sir."

K examines the scroll but doesn't touch it as he looks it over.

*Some sounds of violence, lightning striking, and glass breaking can be heard outside. A few minutes later, Thaddea re-enters the shop while toting a large bag; she dumps out the contents onto the counter, revealing it to have been the vase that she'd bought. Or at least, what used to be the vase.*

I've learned that the average criminal does not like to be struck by lightning while wearing an antique vase over his head. You can rest easy knowing that this thing died for a good cause.

*Her presence no longer needed, Thaddea disappears in a flash of lightning.*
