The pool raft considers a moment. "Not really... is it an anime channel, or something?"

Well, sort of. It was this cable TV channel targeted primarily at Asian Americans, so it had a lot of stuff made in those countries. Every Sunday night and almost every weekday morning they'd run a different anime, and then work through those series as long as it took to finish them. That station is how I got acquainted with---amongst other anime---all of the El Hazard series, Slayers, Lost Universe, and Fushigi Yuugi.

It's called AZN Television nowadays.

You know, I'm really not sure why we brought Alexis here in the first place if she's just gonna sit there...

"Oooooh..." the pool raft murmurs. "Those series take me back! Although I never got to see the end of Lost Universe..." She hmms. "I don't get cable, though, so I haven't seen it..."

"Well, she's decorative," Mischa points out. "And when we need the mansion cleaned, we can wind her up."

Assuming she doesn't just start glaring at everyone again...

*to the pool raft* Well, it's been a while. I saw it back in... 2002, 2003 or thereabouts. The station doesn't air on cable in Dearborn Heights anymore, sad to say. *shrugs* And there were some other anime that I got to see, too---I actually got to see and hear what DBZ sounded like in the original Japanese (from the Majin Buu episodes on to the end of GT).

*regarding Alexis* If she was told to pet the cat, would she do that?

Mischa ahhhs. "That makes sense. Ahhh... now I'm feeling nostalgic. I remember when I first started watching anime, and some friends were like, "Oooh, you're in for a treat... seeing (show A) or (show B) for the first time," because those were the classics back then. But there's been so many other good shows since then..." She giggles.

"As for Alexis... maybe she would. She seems to be feeling kind of haughty. Maybe she needs to be broken in?"

Yeah. The IC and the Cartoon Network of that time frame (both Adult Swim and otherwise) were responsible for most of my tastes in anime. Sailor Moon, DBZ, and the Pizza Cats are the only exceptions to this.

*Ambush Cat turns to Alexis and starts to form a Twilight Sphere in his mouth... then causes it to fade away*

Oh. Broken in, not just plain broken. Glad I caught that.

That's up to you two, I think.

If you'll excuse me, my stomach's getting kicked from the inside out. Gonna skedaddle.
