Getting Sneak Up

"It is okay. She just doesn't like us for some reason," said Allison as she sits in the car waiting for Marlie to get in.

Marlie would remember that Allison use to be friends with Megan before in elementary school.

Marlie begins to drive. "Didn't you use to be friends with her?" She asks.

"Yes. Back in middle school but I never really had fun with her. She was always making me do things for her and always was bossy," said Allison as she was trying to smile a little bit.

Marlie stops at Allison's house. "Here we are" She says.

Allison's mom greets her as she walks in the door. "Hi Honey." She says.

"Oh hello Mom," said Allison as she comes though the door. "I was out with Marlie."

"Is that you Marlie? Mind helping your old man?" asked Marlie's dad as she came though the door. He seems to be in the kitchen making dinner.

"Of course Daddy." Marlie replies. "So where's the maid tonight"

"Where'd you go?" Her mother asks.

"To the mall," said Allison as she goes to her room and places the school bag in her room. "Marlie wanted to buy something."

"She has tonight off," said Marlie's dad as he trying heat up the meat of the dinner. It would seem as if it was burning a bit. "Could you please get the peas out of the freezer?"

"I think the meat is burning Daddy." Marlie tells him. "Maybe you should do the peas and I'll take care of this."

"So are you ready to eat?" Her mom asks.

Marlie's dad then runs off to get the peas.

"Yes. I am really hungry," said Allison as she realized that she didn't get to eat lunch today.

Marlie takes a glove and grabs the meat out of the oven before it burns too badly.

"Well it's in the kitchen." Allison's mother says. Allison sees some Chinese food. It shouldn't surprise her. Her mom can't cook after all.

The meat seems mostly okay. Marlie's dad was beginning to work the peas.

"Are you going to eat?" asked Allison as she takes the Chinese and began to serve herself. She was breaking apart the sticks and was eating the noodles. She was wondering about her dad at the moment.

Marlie finishes preparing the meal.

"Yes of course." Her mother says. "Your father should be home soon."

"Oh okay. I guess I wait for him to come then," said Allison as she stops eating and decides to set plates up.

"By the way. Your mom called saying she be coming late from the office," said Marlie's dad as he seem to be done with his part of the meal.
