Jack was expecting to feel sore after yesterday, and apparently he wasnt mistaken. But small or no, at least it was a bed. Then, a hard decision in front of him. To take the truck or not... It would draw a lot more attention... but being a truck it could probably handle it. The fact that it had three owners is also good and bad. Bad because its quite possible the other two met similar fates as the third... But good because if it switched hands that many times it had to be doing something right.

Finally he just decides to see if he can get it running. If so, he will drive it for as long as he can. If not... well he will continue walking.

Edward was a bit paranoid, though probably for good reason i mean seriously how does a crate of food rations just fall through a roof of a building... Still he wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth, food was food still he just hoped it tasted good if nothing else, if his luck was holding up maybe the other crate had munitions. (was there more then one crate?)

"3 hours, huh?" Rick says, looking around, glancing at his earlier scratch for a second. "Alright, I think I can hold up here for that time, then." He takes off the headset and leans onto the seat. "What to do for 3 hours..."

Nothing seems to happen for Rick after the transmition, everything still seems rather quite after the battle he had earlier.

=================================
(There's 3 crates)
Edward could see that the rations crate contained markings from the army. These where military rations! The crate only contained food though from what he could see.

==================================
Jack notices that the truck is indeed in working order the key was easy to find and when he turns the ignition it roars to life!
"Let me confirm, your shelter shield is activated?"
"What are you planning?!"
"Your shelter is secure, is it?"
"Of course it is! Just see for yourself how powerless you are!"
"...Roger that."

Jack... has made up his mind then! Packing his things in the truck, he gets the main gate to the garage open and heads out! Back onto the road! Whoo!

Rations... Not the best food but still edible food was still worth a lot nowadays.
Looking around it was most likely a helicopter lost some of it's package in mid flight, at least it was the only real explanation he could think of explain how the crates landed here.
Still if they were army rations then maybe one of them was munitions, Edward thought as he went to work on the other crates hoping that one of them had a stock of M4's or other goodies.

Rick gets out of the helicopter, rubbing his back a bit. Might as well look around the site for supplies. This is gonna be a long wait, after all...

Rick would find what he's already found, just some crates, some broken some good. Hes find some broken machine guns, ammo thrown everywhere. It basically looked like somebody took a last stand here. He was also still in an intersection.

===================================
Edward spends the rest of the morning unlocking the second crate. By this time he's pretty hungry, still the lock opened a bit easier than the rations ones. the expirience he gained with the other was very useful. When he opens the crate he finds it only contains 4 things.... 4 rpgs with about 20 missles.

==============================
Jack roars out with his new truck. As he did and passes by the restaurant he would see the maids come out running trying to catch up to the truck that was crusing on the road. Jack would also notice he has half a gas tank left.

Jack isnt worried about the maids, he is sure he will leave them behind soon enough. Once he is well enough away from them he slows down a bit, looking over the map he had brought with him. He takes the route he had planned... going the back roads as much as possible. One good traffic jam up and he wouldn't be going much of anywhere. Also making sure to take the long route around any shopping centers or malls... no doubt the bimbos would gather there.

Of course he also looks for gas stations and truck stops. Without gas the truck would be rather pointless.

Edward looked at the weapons of mass destruction... not what he was looking for admittedly as they were not 'portable' per say carrying that much fire power by horse wasn't really feasible, car maybe. Admittedly he doubted even soccer moms could survive a shot from one them but he hoped he wouldn't have to find out.

either way he was hungry, looking over the rations he hoped that they weren't to terrible i mean it was likely he would be eating them for a while, thus as he picked one at random to open and eat. Making note to check on the horse again after finishing and maybe starting the 3rd crate.

Edward would find that the rations were in good shape. A lot of caned food but some were packs of food which you inserted water into a pack with a tray and closed it. The water actually heated up the food which was very nice that the military had developed this. Either way the rations varied from mundane cans to these super cool rations. The water was also included in the crate. His Horse was also still fine. As Edward started on the 3rd crate we could notice half way through some commotion as his horse started to get pretty restless...

=================================
Eventually trucking Jack would find what seems to be an abandoned gas station. It looked safe cause apart from the pumps EVERYTHING was blown up. The remains of what seemed to be the store was a head of black and debree. However the pumps apart from the new charcoal color seemed fine!

Jack blinks at this scene! "I wonder what happened here..." Wonders Jack aloud... but shrugs as he pulls up alongside the pump. Deisel would hopefully be in less demand than regular, so hopefully there would be some left. If it wasnt all burned up that is.

Jack hops out to take a closer look at the pump and see if he can fill up his tank!

Horse acting up usually meant something was coming... joy... he really wished that his luck would hold out a little longer.
Quickly he gathered his bag, readying his gun and grabbing just one of the rpgs ... you know for good luck before heading outside to see what the fuss was.

"Are you really threatening me with the cops? If there's any cops left up there, then they're only looking out for themselves now", muttered Skylar as she followed them along the tracks. She wanted to leave... but without her gun? That wouldn't be smart. "Look, you better give me my gun and my ammo back right now before I kick BOTH your asses. Got that?".

Rick sighs, "Great. Nothing... And all these guns do NOT give me a good feeling... Especially since I'm out in the open." He kicks over a crate, thinking.
