Ellen: ... *sips, amazed* ...Right when I think I've heard the most of what they can do, something new pops out of the woodwork.

That is a part of life. It ever marches onward and keeps hitting you with surprises. Honestly I've ever only really seen pyromancers pose any great threat to paper masters and even then I've seen them held off by one. Mostly because the pyro made a mistake of burning down a library to get to the paper master and that pretty much hit their berserk button. So, do you want to use your cards for this or should we use some regular paper?

Ellen: ...Maybe some regular paper. I don't want to destroy my cards by accident. *sip*

Ebony: Heya kiddo. How you doing?

Doing very well. Having fun training with the boss? He isn't going to lightly on you is he? If he is let me know and I'll try and beat him into doing it properly.
*Rolls eyes.* Yeah, I'm sure you can.

Ellen: ...I'm enjoying myself. And no, the training is adequate for my needs. ...Stamina isn't my strong suit, even after being able to breathe normally, so I'm rather grateful.

Thanks for bringing the paper Ebony. This'll work I think. Naturally I won't be shooting at you to perfect this as for one I don't want you hurt nor do I want your mother tearing my current body apart or worse. We'll be working on first hardening it to prevent less forceful blows and work our way up.

Ebony: Alright then. Just figured I would offer. Any chance to beat up the boss for comical show is one to enjoy.

Ellen: *briefly glances at Ebony* ...I'm sure Eebon will find that amusing. *faces Raleigh again* ...So, how do I go about trying it? The same method as actually moving it around and cutting with it, or something different?

Closer to making it sharpers than moving it mostly. Admittedly I suppose if you move the mole... meh, that would be too complex to try to explain I think. Concentrate on making the paper stronger, more solid, or harder as I've been putting it before. Perhaps I should demonstrate eh? *Picks up a sheet of paper just in time as a gunshot rings out. A bullet hits the paper and spins out and expends its force against the page before falling away.* Thanks Ebs.

Ebony: I live to serve, heh. *She puts away a small handgun that she had pulled from weaponspace.*

Ellen: *blinks in surprise* ...It doesn't actually deflect those kinds of shots?

I suppose if I angled it properly it could have deflected it but then we would have to worry about ricochets. I didn't want to put anyone in danger so I used it more like bullet proof armor or glass if you will. Made it hard enough to stop penetration but not so much as to deflect and rather let it expend its energy.

Ellen: *thinks about this* ...Quick question. Does the effectiveness vary depending on what kind of paper is used? For instance, printer paper versus construction paper?

Hm... interesting question. Technically it shouldn't make much difference but I would say construction paper, due to its already sturdier nature, is easier to shift toward acting like armor. I would say thinner sheets of paper would be more ideal for cutting with. Why not go more toward the nature of your medium that you have at hand eh? Still you should be able to use most any form of paper for all purposes.

Ellen: ...I suppose I will give this a try, then.

*Ellen takes one of the sheets of paper and concentrates on it, trying to focus on the entire piece instead of just working with the edges of it. The paper seems to stiffen for a few moments, then goes slack, and Little Miss Stoic has to pause to drink down some water.*
