Mia, we need to talk

[Blaze]

Blaze sits on a bench in Muffinville Park, her legs crossed and her arms folded, her index finger tapping with impatience. She has a look on her face that seems to be a cross between nervousness and annoyance as she looks from left to right, her hair whipping about.

"Where is she?..."

[Miku-chan]

Suddenly, from behind, Mia wraps her arms around the winged girl, pinning her to the bench from behind..."What's up hun? Quid for your thoughts." she says as she snuggles into her neck

[Blaze]

Blaze raises her hand to gently push Mia off of her.

"Sit down please."

[Miku-chan]

"But your so comfortable from here." Mia pouts reluctantly as she let's Blaze push her off

[Blaze]

Blaze exhales though her nose and rolls her eyes.

"Look, be serious please? This is important."

[Miku-chan]

Mia gets a confused look on her face as she comes around to Blaze's side..."Your thoughts are chaotic and strained Blaze. What's wrong?"

[Blaze]

Blaze nods and raises her hand to the cat-eye ear decoration in her ear.

"Remember when you first offered these and I turned them down? And then I had to use them to save your life?"

[Miku-chan]

Mia hesitates for a moment before answering..."I remember how beautiful your soul is and what you sacrificed that day. You brought me closer to humanity as well as to yourself. Whatever the reason, we are bonded as packmates for life. What's wrong ?" she asks again, searching Blazes face for the answers she can't feel from her...

[Blaze]

"That's what's wrong." Blaze says, pinching the bridge of her nose.

"Look... I do like you, and I appreciate how you helped me cope with becoming female, but I was never looking for a lifelong commitment. And this whole thing with that deity of yours and something to do with destiny... I don't believe in gods, or fate. It's too much..."

The girl takes a deep breath and continues with a trembling voice.

"Mia... I think we should stop dating."

[Miku-chan]

Mia sits there shocked."...Blaze- hun, ...I thought you understood. Your future, my future...your friends future...it's being written as we live. You met Jean, Okuni, me...for a reason. I know that scares you, it scares me.(Sigh)...but with everything you have seen, done, helped set into motion or ended it's motion...was for a reason. It was ment to be. And even if you never met us, your actions still would bring you to the same place in the end, just a different path. I love you Blaze and always will. But that dont change the fact we are Packmates. It doesn't mean we will always share a bed, or mates, but we are of the same spirit..." she suddenly trails off, eyes glistening and unsure

[Blaze]

"And I do care for you Mia. You really helped me a lot. But... to be honest, I can't see ourselves being anything more than close friends. If we stayed together, I think we would eventually fizzle out. I would probably get angry about what you believe and maybe even start getting into fights with you. I would rather avoid that..."

Blaze takes Mia's hand and squeezes it.

"Friends?..."

[Miku-chan]

Mia turns her head away from Blaze..."I...just don't know...you know how much I love a good fight..." turns her eyes back to Blaze, smiling sadly."And after you, no one else will compare..." then grins playfully before her sad smile returns...

[Blaze]

Blaze gives a small smile herself at seeing Mia smile.

"Psh. I'm not that great. We only had one real date after all. The other times consisted of you taking advantage of me."

[Miku-chan]

Mia grins impishly..."And you enjoyed almost every minute of it...still...this don't just go away."she points to her matching tigers eye stone..."If nothing else, your my sister and as such, your still not gonna get away from me completely. So what's the word...Sister..." Mia moves her grip to Blazes wrist

Blaze gives a small nod.

"I figured... don't harp on about fate, and we'll be golden" ^^
