Ovvar smiles smugly to himself. Recognition for his work was good. ...it wasn't needed. But it made him feel quite pleased with himself. He says to the captain, "...thank you. And I look forward to my audience with him." He puts all his blades back into their place, stretches once... then is all set to go!

Her eyes widened as she dropped her hands from the window, and climbed back down, before taking a seat and folding her arms. She stared at the Seductress, her mouth open slightly in suprise, and then looked up to see the Princess turn around with one of the little dresses she herself had worn as a child.

"There's nothing wrong with the dress I'm wearing!", she protested, still unable to believe the betrayal by the Princess, nor the fact she was having new clothes picked for her instead of saving the day.

"Don't be silly!" Says the Princess. Walking over with the dress and handing it to her! "Slip that on while I find you some cute shoes for you!" She turns back to the closet happily, while Rose smirks. "I'd do what she says... or do you want me to dress you?" She says with a giggle.

Blaze wrote:"He was a Warden, a very old one."

James took one last bite of his apple and chewed it contemplatively

"I told him... ah yes! I told them that I was sent by the crown to deal with the increase in demon activity."

Vigilence frowns... but nods. "Yes. That is a reason to brave these ruins. I can see you are ill equipped for such a venture. The Underworld is littered with objects that could aid you... ancient weapons crafted during the claiming of the Watchwoods for men... interred here once their wielders fell or retired. But be warned... the path to claiming such a thing is not for the faint of heart. If you falter, the dead will claim you as one of their own."

The guard captain nods. "Very well... follow me." He says, turning and heading onwards out of the arena! The crowd continues cheering as he makes his triumphant exit!
O Muse!
Sing in me, and through me tell the story
Of that man skilled in all the ways of contending,
A wanderer, harried for years on end...

Realising she was going to end up in the dress wether she chose to or not, Ginny blushed, and let out a sigh. Climbing to her feet, she set it on the chair, and then pulled the plain and simple white cotton dress up over her head, leaving her infront of the two women in nothing but her sandals and underwear, which just made her feel even more inferior. Her blue eyes gazed at the smirking Seductress helplessly as she reached for the green silk dress, and pulled it over her head, wriggling her arms into the short, puffed sleeves. The masses of white lace tickled her legs as it settled into place, and she realised the buttons were on the back... which meant once they were done up, she wouldn't be able to reach them herself, and would be stuck wearing it.

"I... I can't reach the buttons... ", she murmured to Rose, her voice full of shame as she tugged her long red hair up from the neck of the new dress. It felt so well made, the finest materials and stitching, a dress fit for Princess for sure, yet that didn't make it any less humiliating. Turning slightly, so her back, and the open buttons were facing Rose, she watched the Princess with slumped shoulders, "I... have a request, Princess... ".

James's ears perk up at the the mention of ancient relics. He could sell those for big money! Oh and, maybe save the kingdom. Trying to keep the glee from his face, he nods.

"If they will help, I will go after them. Where do you suggest I start?"

Rose smiles, heading over. "Sure thing, sweetie..." She says, bending down as she begins buttoning up Lucille's dress!

Meanwhile, the princess turns around! In her hand is a little pair of shiny black shoes. "Hrmmm?" Then she squeals as she sees the little girl in the green dress! "Oh your so adorable!"

Vigilence smiles. "Brave... or foolhardy. Either way works I suppose." He points to the gate behind him. "That way lies the city of the dead. The true city. I grant you my approval to pass into it. Your path will be decided from there on by the spirits within."

Ginny felt a heaviness settle in her stomach as Rose buttoned up the dress, trapping her inside it until one of them opened the buttons up again for her. She chewed her bottom lip, her blue eyes admiring the figure of the Princess as she was bending over infront of the closet. Knowing it wouldn't be wise to protest when she was about to make a request, she looked down at the shiny black, and drew a deep breath before pushing her little feet into them.

"Rose already promised she would keep my daughter safe from harm... but there are others I'd like you to spare, Princess. The followers of my Church. There are almost thirty women there, mostly paladins and priestesses. They don't need to die... ", she pleaded, gazing up at the Princess with wide eyes.

Jame's glee at the idea of big money was dampened by the fact he would have to enter the realm of the dead to get it. He swallowed hard and nodded.

"Very well. I'll collect my things and be on my way."

He stands and returns to the platform next to the underground river, putting his clothes back on and returning to the dining room.

"You have been a wonderful host Vigilance."

Ovvar continues to wave to the crowd, and basks in the glory that is victory! He follows behind the guard, "...are they always that appreciative? Or is it just for me?"

The princess kneels down next to Ginny, nodding. "Its sweet you care for your girls... I think we could work out a deal..." She smiles. "What do you think, Rose?" She turns to the succubus, who nods. "You could use a personal guard... but they would need some alteration..." The Princess nods, then looks back to Ginny. "Yes, sweetie... as long as they remember you they will pose a threat. Trying to rescue you or do bad things here. We either have to kill them... or erase their memories."

The man nods. "I do try to be." he pauses. "One last thing, mortal. Show respect among the dead. You will be returning this way to exit as well. If I judge your conduct to have been less than courteous, you will find your reception less warm than you might have wanted."

He gestures to a wall, where a door seems to form in the solid stone.

"They have had little to celebrate. And Vilehand... was a piece of work. He killed an entire village before being caught. Personally I'd have just given him the gallows and end his killing there... but that wasnt my decision. Either way, you have already done the city a favor." He leads Ovvar through a large set of gates and onto the city streets! Over to a waiting carriage.

Ginny looked deeply embarrassed as the Princess kneeled down to talk with her. Her wide blue eyes gazed pleadingly at the young woman, and she chewed her bottom lip as the two of them discussed her request. Her red hair swished about as she looked up at Rose, and then back to the Princess, both hands clutching her fancy green dress. She felt so powerless... but she had very little to bargain with now in trying to spare the lives of her followers. "I want to hear you both promise no harm will come to my daughter or the women at my church... ", she said with a little frown. "If you promise me that, I... I give you permission to erase me from their memories. Nobody else, just me... but you will NOT do that to my daughter", she said in the most authoritative tone possible for a six year old girl.

Ovvar quirks an eyebrow at that, "...he was allowed an attempt at redemption after so much innocent blood was spilled...?" His demeanor goes from proud, to his more stoic stance once more. He tightens his gear once more, and offers the guard his hand "...and I was just doing my duty. Doing what I have to, to see that what has been done is not in vain." After the hand shake, he goes to the carriage. The man glances around the city streets, for whatever reason... they seem more foreboding then before he went into the arena. As if they pose more of a threat.

James nods, resolving to be as unoffensive as possible. His time pretending to be a friendly hunter would come in handy here.

"I understand. I will return shortly."

He approaches the door, and with a hint of trepidation, opens it and steps through.

The Princess smiles, looking a but amused as the six year old puts her little foot down. Looking to Rose. "What do you think?" The demoness nods. "Yes... I can make that work..." The princess looks back. "Very well... its a deal! Lets go pick up your daughter... and get to work!" She says with a smile.

The door opens to a long dark tunnelway, full of mist and occasionally lit by blue flamed torches. After walking along for a good while, he sees a opening up ahead! Which turns out to be a massive underground cave... full of old buildings!

An uneasiness settled in Ginny's stomach as the Princess rose to her feet and announced they were going to get her daughter. This was going to be a rather awkward meeting, with the girl now a couple of years older than her own Mother. The green dress swished around as she turned, feeling so small as the women flanked her on each side, and they left the Princess's room together.

James walks thorugh the hallway, pulling his cloak tight around himself in an attempt to keep the chill out. Upon seeing the cave in the distance, he picks up the pace, jogging towards the buildings!
