[Feng]

[Blaze]

Blaze's eyes widen. The plot thickens!

"So they were changed into girls then?"

[Feng]

"Indeed," says Bones. "Given their appearance it can sometimes be difficult to tell the gender of most Chibi, unless you know what to look for. That's not the case with Pepper's victims though. Their behavior, their dress, along with other noticeable differences, make the changes quite noticeable. Before you ask, I think its best you see for yourself instead... Its too disturbing to properly be put into words."

[Blaze]

Blaze raises an eyebrow at Bones, frowning at the mastermind.

"You're coming across as rather gynophobic there Bones. I won't have someone who's prejudiced as my nemesis."

[Feng]

"You misunderstand Investigator. I don't fear women, especially Chibi women. What makes me cringe is watching the followers of Pepper engage in such ludicrously exaggerated acts of feminism..." >.<

[Blaze]

"Ahhh, I get it now." Blaze says with a nod.

"All right then, I'll help out. Lead the way."

[Feng]

Bones holds out a hand in an effort to keep Blaze put.

"My tale isn't over yet, Investigator. There is more you should know."

[Blaze]

Blaze stops and nods slowly.

"Pepper has become super-feminine and is making her followers the same. What else could I need to know?"

[Feng]

"That's merely the small stuff, Investigator. The icing on the cake if you will. I didn't tell you about the cannibalism..."

[Blaze]

Blaze's jaw drops. She didn't see that coming.

"They're eating each other?!"

[Feng]

"Not the Chibi" says Bones, regretting his poor phrasing. "Cannibalism is typically taboo among the Chibi tribes. Only cults dedicated to corrupted Guardians will occasionally engage in that disturbing practice...

Anyways, what I probably should have said is that Pepper has usurped the position of one of her siblings by devouring their essence. A patron of fertility to be exact. While still technically alive it appears that Pepper is feeding off her sister's energies while slowly gaining control of her abilities. As of now, the other Temples have yet to retaliate, their patrons too afraid to face the corrupted girl..."

[Blaze]

Blaze frowns at Bones, suspecting the bad wording was deliberate.

"So she's trying to gain power by absorbing the essence of other Guardians? That's worrying..."

[Feng]

"I theorize that Pepper merely means to subdue the Fertility Guardian as a means of cementing her power. She hasn't turned to all out vampirism, not that we know of anyways....

But yes, this is a serious matter. Normally I would consult my friend Doc but..."

[Blaze]

Blaze remembers the Chibi shaman from the last time she and Bones worked together.

"... did Pepper get him too?"

[Feng]

Lord Bones nods grimly.

"Indeed. He was one of the first to disappear. A pity. His knowledge of Chibi folklore would have been invaluable here..."
