Wait a minute! Alone in a dark moving box, that is being drawn along to who knows where? ...how did he allow for himself to get in such a position? Right. Winning stuff. ...turning his attention back to the temporal side of things, Ovvar glances around the carriage -- seeing if he can escape it quickly if needed. He does however relax... not necessarily enjoying the ride -- but not being as tense as usual.

This was going to be a rather awkward meeting, with the girl now a couple of years older than her own Mother. The green dress swished around as she turned, feeling so small as the women flanked her on each side, and they left the Princess's room together.

The odd trio make their way through the halls. The Princess in the lead, followed by the little Paladin, and with the seductress in the rear, keeping an eye on Ginny. Finally, the Princess stops infront of a door, smiles, and opens it up!

Inside is a bedroom, lavishly furnished. The closet full of elegant little dresses, from when the Princess was a little older than Ginny no doubt. There is a balcony garden, a shelve of books, and... Ginny's daughter!

Blaze wrote:James walks thorugh the hallway, pulling his cloak tight around himself in an attempt to keep the chill out. Upon seeing the cave in the distance, he picks up the pace, jogging towards the buildings!

As James joggs through the silent streets, he sees ghostly forms flitting in and out of vision. The buildings themselves resemble a castle town... there is a inn, courthouse, peasant buildings, and further in the distance a castle.

Indeed, the hero of the day is quite in a position to be assassinated! Lucky for him the view from the window, and the incline of the carriage, both attest to them climbing up the steep hill towards Castle Overwatch! But the streets are dark, and his driver is silent. Oddly even the bustle of the street seems muted.

"Quite eerie, isn't it." Comes an amused voice beside him. A eerily familiar one... that should be lieing on the ground of the coliseum, dead.

Of that man skilled in all the ways of contending,
A wanderer, harried for years on end...

The blonde-haired little girl was sat at a desk, writing with a quill. Her dress was only slightly more maturely styled than Ginny's own, and was in a powder blue with white lace. As the door opened, she lifted her head and smiled at the Princess, before tilting her head curiously as the red-haired child with her. Sliding from her chair, she got to her feet and walked towards them. "Who's this, your highness?", she asked.

Ginny herself blushed brightly, now two years younger than her own daughter, she had to look up at her, which was both embarrassing and unsettling. She stepped from around the Princess, stopping to stare for a moment before she ran forward, and flung her arms around the girl, wrapping them around her neck in a firm hug. "Caileanne... ", she breathed a sigh of relief, as the taller girl returned the hug, and gave the Princess a quizzical look that Ginny could not see.

Ovvar's position doesn't alter, nor does he tense up anymore then he was. ...he had almost been expecting it. And if he is surprised, he isn't showing it. But in his mind, he thinks I saw his corpse... I saw his dead body. ...what is this monster? He can't be human. ...or if he is... why am I still alive? Without turning to the figure, he awnsers in a hushed tone "...indeed it is. Coindence? Or is there more at work then just... yourself?"

James looks around the ghostly city shivering a bit under his cloak. Upon seeing the inn, he crosses his fingers. Hopefully, inns in the afterlife were sources of rumors like the inns in the land of the living.

Crossing to the door, he pushes it open and enters!

The Princess giggles. "Thats your mother, dear... things are going to be changing for the two of you."

Rose nods. "Yes... they are. But you will benefit from the change, child... I plan to take you under my wing..." Says the demoness with a smile.

Beside him, the cloaked form of Vilehand chuckles. "There is much at work in this kingdom, sir. You are about to go meet one side of the story... I am here representing its counterpoint. Are you interested in what I have to say?" Asks the man who should be dead.

Entering the inn, he at first sees nothing but empty chairs and silence... but after a few moments the shimmering forms of spirits fade into view, as does a muted bustle of a inn's common room. He gets the distinct feeling he is being watched by them... closely.

James blinks at the empty inn and squints before the spirits fade into view. Aware of their eyes fixed on him, he crosses to the bar and takes a seat, making sure it wasn't occupied by a spirit. Looking at the bartender, he gives a small grin.

Caileanne suddenly pulled back, and grasped Ginny by the shoulders, staring intently at her face for a moment or two, before the young girl's eyes widened in suprise. "Mother!", she gasped, one hand reaching for Ginny's hair, twirling the red strands around her fingers, "What happened to you?".

Ginny went bright, bright red as she looked up at the daughter, and her mouth opened to speak, but she was cut off by Rose. Both children turned to look up at the Seductress together. "Wh-What?", asked a horrified Ginny, but Caileanne looked suprisingly interested. She did love her Mother very much, but the idea of living in the big city, in a castle of all places, was far more appealing to the girl than Ginny's temple. "Would I be able to live here in the castle, Lady Rose? And Mother too... ", she said, giving Ginny a warm smile.

Ovvar settles back, and peers at the other man with a side glance "...we both know you are telling me this for a reason. I assume you could have walked out of that cell at any time, and were just looking for someone who could approach the king... or... is it someone else?" He curls his lips into a slight grin at that, "...tell me your side of the story. I'll be hearing the other side at some point I'm sure. Say your piece."

His weapon isn't on his blade, and he is to far from the door to make a bolt for it. For once... he actually is relaxed. Not because he doesn't feel that there is a possible threat, but because he apparently believes that factors involved in this situation are beyond his control. Why stress over something beyond your grasp?

The bartender is cleaning out a ghostly glass, nodding. ~I suppose I can help you, live 'un. Whatcha want?~

The seductress smiles to the young girl's question. "Of course dear... when we are not out on a mission. I am a servant of the Princess. With you serving me, that means you will serve her... and she is kind to her servants."

The Princess giggles. "That I am, sweetie... Of course you and your mother can live here... But there are many things to do first... and for a long time your going to have to be a big sister to Ginny instead of a daughter. Think you can do that?"

Vomica wrote:Ovvar settles back, and peers at the other man with a side glance "...we both know you are telling me this for a reason. In the shadows of the carriage, Ovvar can barely make out the features of Vilehand under his hooded robe. The only thing that stands out are his eyes... sharp and calculating. After waiting for a few moments, he begins. His voice flat and business like. "Mmm... it is this. I represent the old guard of the Kingdom. We believe the King has turned his back on the people... sold our souls to the false church. We are the rebellion... the ones who would see Watchwood restored to its old ways. I give you a chance... to side with us. Or even if not siding with us, to turn away. Go back to where you came from. But if you remain, and choose to side with the king and church... you will not get a second chance."

Ginny watched in horror as Caileanne giggled up at the Princess. She might have been mature for her age, but clearly such a young girl could only see the funny side of her Mother being younger than her for a while. The red-haired former Paladin glared at both the Princess and the Seductress, while her daughter nodded her head. "Of course, your Highness", she smiled as if it was all just a game.

"Caileanne! Don't listen to them! Look what they've done to me!", she tried to convince the blonde girl, but Cailleane just turned to look down at her. "Ginny... you know it's rude to interrupt when the grown ups are talking", she said with particular glee, and the two women might get the impression this was a line that adult Ginny had delivered to her daughter a few too many times before, as she took such delight in now using it upon her regressed Mother.

Caileanne even lifted a finger to her lips, a visual sign for the red-haired girl to keep quiet, before she turned to look back up at the Princess and Lady Rose. "See, your Highness? I'm going to be a good big sister", she said proudly.

"I was sent here by Vigilance. He said that somewhere here, there would be something I can use to turn back the demons in the land of the living. Know anything about such a weapon?" James asks, leaning forward and whispering.

Ginny shot Caileanne a frustrated look, before folding her arms across her chest. The older child in the blue dress was only too happy to give Rose the information she desired, "Our city is called Epoch. The Temple is right in the middle, towering up over everything else", she described, motioning with her hands to demonstrate.

"Remember you promised me they would not be harmed... ", said the red-haired six year old, apparently giving up hope of preventing this mission to her home. Letting out a weary sigh, the former paladin slumped back into the chair her daughter had been sat in when practicing her writing, the white underskirts of her frilly green dress swishing up around her knees with a loud rustle.

Caileanne chewed her lip, looking over at her writing, and then up at the Princess. "Your Highness... will I be excused from lessons to go with Lady Rose? Maybe Ginny can take my place... ", she said with a sweet smile. Using her Mother's name still sounded a little odd on her lips, but she was enjoying being allowed to do so by the two women that were clearly in charge now.

Ovvar sits there, contemplating the other figure. He stares for what must be an eternity of perfect silence. Peering into the darkness, he says "...the way of the spirits? The way before the Church? ...perhaps. Perhaps you have something here." He pauses, and not blinking, "...but perhaps this isn't the full story. I know not what you are, or who you serve. I can only guess at why you come to me." He leans forward, and says "...I don't know if it's fear. Misinformation. Or what..." Trailing off, he finishes "...but I do know something."

Sitting back up, he says "...we are different, you and I. You have your motives, and I have my own. I can promise you this though, the king is threatening open war between the existing forces. ...and open war is not desired." Ovvar peers at Vilehand, "...I will not join you. Nor will I stand against you. ...unless your own agenda lays against my own. I seek to learn what the king intends, and if it is ill intended, than he shall deal with the consequences." Adding after a moment he adds, "...there is still many questions left unknown..."

This entire time though, he hasn't tensed up.
