"The castle seemed to appear out of nowhere and I was curious." He answered. "So I decided to check it out."

Lisa: From out of nowhere?... Strange. I got here by swimming through this labyrinth. Something about all this feels off.

"NOw what is this?" said DOn as he still held on to the the glasses. He walked a bit more into the next room and saw that there were many ways to go. He looked at the staircase and figured that he would like to get a better look of the area. Don soon began to make his way up the stairs.

*The journey up is uneventul. At the top is a room similar to the one he just exited, with four archways leading every which way. To the west is the icy room where Ashley currently is. To the north is a corridor; looking at it can give a person a vague sense of forboding. To the south, something shiny can be seen. To the east lies a room with scattered pieces of metal, each one indistinguishable when viewed from far away.*

Don looked around and notice each room. It seems as if there was nothing eventful happening where Ashley was from what he could tell. He looked at the other areas and notice the shine.

"Well nothing eventful is happening over there with that kid so I guess I might as well make a profit," said Don as he enter the room that had something shiny in the distance.

((OOC: Having taken another look at the map with this castle's design on it, I recently realized that I'd skipped an entire room between the entranceway and the room with the staircase. Sorry about that. ))

*The massive room stretching from left to right that Don finds himself in seems to be an upper hall. Staircases heading down can be seen at both ends. At the far left end is a couglin---a large brown cat-like monster with multiple sets of arms; even in sleep, saliva drips from its fangs. At the far right is a discarded hourglass, as far as things seem to appear.*

*And standing tall and proud in the center of the hall is a statue, most likely depicting the king of the castle if the robes and crown are anything to go by. The shiny thing that Don had seen from the previous room is a necklace, hanging from the king's neck. It seems to be fairly valuable.*

"Hmm....Now that is a pretty piece of jewelry. Surely I can fetch a good price for it on the market as well," said Don as he walked around the room and saw what he was up against. He notice the cat and knew what was going to happen if he was going to take the necklace. Don had already had his hand on his sword as he walked closer to the statue.

"First off...let see if there are any enchantments," said Don as he reached into a ripple that appeared on his right side. He pulled out a bag and threw some dust into the area around the statue. He kept on eye on the large feline to make sure of any movement from it.

Lisa: ...Muffin...ville? *eyes half-lidded* That sounds less like a city and more like the creation of a drug addict... *sighs* Anyway, I got in here to look for treasure and get my strength back.

*Something on the statue itself brightens momentarily as the dust settles onto it, showing that something has to be there. The necklace maintains its normal glow.*

*The couglin remains asleep, not bothered by what is happening in that section of the room.*

Ashley chuckles. "Well, a drug addict might as well feel at home, since it'd likely live up to their love of 'trippiness' or whatever the lingo is. Since the place has so much weird stuff that happens over a short period of time. Men turning into women, women turning into men, people changing ages, beings from humans to demons running around, dimensional rifts and abnormalities, colored fruit that changes people into various things... it's a crazy place."

He raises an eyebrow. "Get your strength back?"

Lisa: *gives Ashley a long look, as if contemplating his mental faculties, then sighs* Yes. Someone poisoned me a week ago and deprived me of most of my abilities. I'm confident I can get them back, but it's going to take a while.

Don saw the glowing the statue and figure that it was an alarm. "Hmm.....Well it seems to be an alarm. Best get it out of the way now then later. Wish Mike was here for this but oh well."

Don at once pulled out a sword from his side ripple and tried to remove the necklace with it.

*The necklace doesn't seem to want to move. However, as the sword touches it, the statue begins to glow again: first white, then black, then orange (twice), then purple, then green, then white again; the glow fades after this sequence. What could it mean?*

Lisa: Of the perpetrator? None. *makes sure her weapon is sheathed* I never saw who did it. The only way I know that someone out there hates me is the fact that there's no way that the poison in my water supply was a natural occurrence.
Anyway, I've explored part of this place already. Need any information on it?

"Hmm...." said Don as he saw the colors and figured it meant something. It just that he couldn't figure out what it meant. He then reached into his ripple once again and pulled out a pair of gloves and boots. After putting them on. It seems that Don was hovering up.

"Well let try this again," said Don as he place his hand on the necklace to tried to lift it up.

*The necklace, strangely, doesn't seem to want to move. The color pattern seen previously repeats itself.

From his heightened vantage point, though, he might notice a piece of paper lodged in the statue's crown. A clue?*

"Hmm... sure, I mainly walked in and headed for this direction. What else do you know of the castle?" Ashley asked as he stretched.

Lisa: Let's see... well, a few of the more important treasures in the castle are protected by color-combination locks.
