From his heightened vantage point, though, he might notice a piece of paper lodged in the statue's crown. A clue?*

"It won't budge," said Don as he frowned at what had happen. He then notice the note and hover down to where it was. He then pulled it out and tried to read it.

Lisa: Let's see... well, a few of the more important treasures in the castle are protected by color-combination locks.

"Normal colors? Excuse me for sounding silly, but sometimes colors can be a bit hectic around this place since certain colors have certain transformation properties, such as Violet turning people into ditzy girls."

"It won't budge," said Don as he frowned at what had happen. He then notice the note and hover down to where it was. He then pulled it out and tried to read it.

*The note has a series of numbers and colors written on it as follows:*

1 - Black
2 - White
3 - Orange
4 - Blue
5 - Green
6 - Purple

Recite the appropriate code aloud to break the protection, and your success is assured.

Lisa: *sweatdrops* I haven't been inhaling any pink smoke recently. These colors are about as normal as one can get.

"That's good then." His ear twitches for a moment. "Hmm... guess there's other people around in this castle. I feel the presence of others."

"Now this is what I need," said Don as he looked up at the necklace and then repeated the colors, "Black, White, Orange, Blue, Green, Purple."

*The statue glows for a moment... then begins crackling violently with electricity, zapping Don if he's standing too close!*

Lisa: That's a good sign, supposedly. Think they're here for the same reasons you are?

Don tries to move out of the way of the zap but he was indeed standing too close to the statue.

"Damn...What was that?" said Don as he looked at the statue crackling with electricity.

*As if in response, the statue starts color-glowing again. White, black, then orange (twice), then purple, then green, then white.*

*The electricity Don was zapped with withdraws from him. It wasn't a painful jolt, but more than enough to be noticed.*

"Oh frag...." said Don as he notice the colors flashing once again. He then felt the jolt and jumped back again. He remember the piece of paper and cursed.

"I see now. Figures it be something like that. Well let see..." said Don as he recalls the colors and then said, "I think I got it.....2, 1, 3, 3, 6, 5, and 2."

*There is a brief pause, almost as if the protection was considering the password, then apparently decides "close enough". A transparent padlock appears, attached to the necklace; before Don's eyes, the padlock breaks apart and drops to the ground. The protection itself fades away into nothing.*

Lisa: Maybe. *shrugs* Not really my problem, though.
If you want another piece of advice, there's a vampire bat elsewhere on this floor. I haven't tried talking to it yet, so be careful if it turns out to be a trap.

((OOC: Hee. ))

"HMmm...." said Don as he notice the delay and then shook his head. He then uses the gloves again to lift the necklace from the statue and starts to inspect it. "Looks valuable."

Lisa: I was going to search around the battlements to see if I could find any extra clues. Failing that, well... *smirks* I don't think I need to tell you that the castle has some treasure here and there.

*Indeed, it does. Something is inscribed in tiny writing on the necklace itself. Close examination reveals it to say: "Protection against traps".*

((OOC: Apologies to Konoko and Miki. I haven't felt much like logging on over here recently, so I'm sorry that I left you guys in the lurch. :( ))

Laughs a bit. "I'm not actively going after any treasure, but if I come across any, I may get interested." He gives a wave before walking away.
