((OOC: Apologies to Konoko and Miki. I haven't felt much like logging on over here recently, so I'm sorry that I left you guys in the lurch. :( ))

"Very useful," said Don reading the inscription and nodding. "I could use this in my travels in future dungeons."

Don still held on to the necklace and then looked around the room for anything else.

Laughs a bit. "I'm not actively going after any treasure, but if I come across any, I may get interested." He gives a wave before walking away.

*Lisa nods and salutes him before taking the room's northern exit, walking towards the battlements.

The room's eastern exit should take him back to where he first entered the 2nd floor. From there, the northern and eastern paths remain unexplored for the moment.*

*To the far left of Don's position, the dozing couglin remains asleep. To the far right, the hourglass---discarded and forgotten by whoever lived here before---sits all by its lonesome. ...It seems to be reflecting what little light there is in the room, strangely.*

"Well...I guess I found my test," said Don as he place the necklace around his neck. He then began to walk towards the discarded hourglass and took a close inspection of it.

"Hmm..." Ashley pulls out a coin and flips it. When it lands, he nods and heads towards the east!

*The eastern room is full of discarded suits of armor and weaponry, some of which are rusted over and others which are in oddly pristine condition. Discrepancy, much? Anyway, a silvery helmet sits in the midst of all this, gleaming brightly... almost as if whoever it was that had left it there had wanted it to stand out.*

*To the south is the large room that Don is in, with the sleeping couglin visible. To the north is a small room with a staircase leading to the castle battlements. To the east is a balcony; what it looks out over isn't visible from this angle.*

"Well...I guess I found my test," said Don as he place the necklace around his neck. He then began to walk towards the discarded hourglass and took a close inspection of it.

*The reason why the hourglass was reflecting some light becomes obvious: both of its bases and the sand within are made of gold.*

"Well this was unexpected but I can tell this will be worth something if sold," said Don as he flipped the hourglass over to yet the sand run.

Ashley raises an eyebrow as he controls some shadows to pick the helmet up. He then brings it close to examine it.

*Aside from the hourglass serving the purpose for which it was made, nothing else happens. Don's assessment, though, may be correct.*

*Hello, what's this? Is it... can it be... mithril? Whether it is or not, it looks incredibly sturdy and capable of resisting plenty of damage. The only sign of age shown by the helmet is the thick layer of dust that covers it.*

"Very valuable indeed," said Don as he place it in a pouch hanging off this side. "One thing abandon castles are good for is the treasure that is left behind."

*Heh, for sure. There doesn't seem to be much else of interest in this part of the room, though. Through this area's northern exit, the iced-over room that Lisa and Ashley were in earlier is visible.*

"Hm... maybe I'll keep this." He muttered as he stored it away, and then started exploring the room a little more.

*Most of the things in here are rusted wrecks, not having handled the passage of time very well. One suit of armor in particular looks like it was smashed to pieces. On one wall, a threadbare banner depicting a pair of swords, a beheaded serpent, and a roaring lion hangs high up.*

*If Ashley examines the smashed-up armor, he might find a yellowed piece of paper with some writing on it. Odd.*

Despite everything seeming like rusted wrecks, Ashley was actually rather interested and into what he was seeing. The whole thing was like stepping into a time capsule of old-era memorabilia. Though all the rust and degradation, Ashley was rather familiar with such a time period, and so it felt a bit nostalgic.

As he sifted through the armor, thinking about using his magic to try and salvage a large number of things, he found the yellow paper and picked it up to read what it said.

"Well that is that," said Don as he walked towards the northern exit. He then took one last look at the cat and said, "I expected that to be a problem but guess I was wrong."

*In somewhat blocky lettering, it reads as follows:*

"Melancholy fairy on fourth floor and harpsichord on first floor --- connection?
Key to dungeon maze --- upstairs? Unsure."

*The couglin, apparently undisturbed as long as the action taking place was far enough away from him, doesn't answer."

*The iced room is about as slippery as one could expect. The stairway that Don used earlier is to the east, whereas the entrance to the battlements is to the north.

And hidden amongst several icy stalagmites, blending in pretty well, is an ivory wand.*

"Hmm...." said Don as he stood in the room and saw what was in it. He then reached into the ripple that appeared to the side of his torso. A pair of boots appeared out of it as he puts them on. "Ice boots."

Don then began to walk on the ice and looked at the stalagmites. He pulled out his sword and soon it was glowing with heat to shed light at them. He then notice the wand and said, "Treasure."
