An 80s Kind of Castle

[KonokoHasano]

*In somewhat blocky lettering, it reads as follows:*

"Melancholy fairy on fourth floor and harpsichord on first floor --- connection?
Key to dungeon maze --- upstairs? Unsure."

"... huh?" He frowns a little at the words, but figures that they were some clues. Considering that, he proceeds to head to the fourth floor.

"Hmm...." said Don as he stood in the room and saw what was in it. He then reached into the ripple that appeared to the side of his torso. A pair of boots appeared out of it as he puts them on. "Ice boots."

Don then began to walk on the ice and looked at the stalagmites. He pulled out his sword and soon it was glowing with heat to shed light at them. He then notice the wand and said, "Treasure."

*It does seem to be rather pretty, but there's still a sense of power coming from the wand. Perhaps it may have some sort of use.*

"... huh?" He frowns a little at the words, but figures that they were some clues. Considering that, he proceeds to head to the fourth floor.

*From his current location, the path to the 4th floor is as follows: back to the room with the spiral staircase, directly north down the corridor and past a nesting vampire bat, up the stairs, directly down that corridor, and up those stairs. This bypasses a number of different rooms, though.*

Ashley stops in his treck, though, when he comes across the vampire bat and observes it for a little. "Hmm... hello."

"Hmm..." said Don as he reached for it and could fee the power coming from it. He smiled and then said, "Well I can either sell this or keep it for myself. Doesn't look like one a wizard can only use. Maybe it will be of good use."

Don grabs for it and see if he can make anything happen with it.

*Nothing happens... seemingly. After a long moment, though, something can be heard rumbling far below the 2nd floor...*

"Hmm..." said Don as he heard the sound and nodded. He taps the ground a bit and then said, "Looks like I am going down. Guess I got to keep this close by."

Don then begins to walk out of the room heading to the source of the sound below.

Vampire Bat: *perks up and stares at Ashley* Va? Oh. ...Hello, ancient v-one.

"How are you doing?" He asked, floating a bit in a seating fashion.

"Hmm..." said Don as he heard the sound and nodded. He taps the ground a bit and then said, "Looks like I am going down. Guess I got to keep this close by."

Don then begins to walk out of the room heading to the source of the sound below.

*Don's path will take him to the bottom of the staircase that he'd traversed earlier. From there, a distant shape---looks vaguely like a throne---can be seen to the far north past another hallway. To the far east past another room, there lies a garden with a partially ruined fountain. To the west, the wreckage of tables and chairs. Hmm... which to investigate?*

"How are you doing?" He asked, floating a bit in a seating fashion.

Vampire Bat: You're the virst company I've had in vears. I'm very pleased.

*Don's path will take him to the bottom of the staircase that he'd traversed earlier. From there, a distant shape---looks vaguely like a throne---can be seen to the far north past another hallway. To the far east past another room, there lies a garden with a partially ruined fountain. To the west, the wreckage of tables and chairs. Hmm... which to investigate?*

"Hmm...Where was that sound coming from?" asked Don as he kept on ear out for the rumbling from before. He then walked towards the north hoping that it was from there. Also the fact that it looks to be some sort of throne room was piquing his interest.

Vampire Bat: You're the virst company I've had in vears. I'm very pleased.

"Oh? How long have you been here then?" He asked, looking interested.

[AmbushCat]

"Hmm...Where was that sound coming from?" asked Don as he kept on ear out for the rumbling from before. He then walked towards the north hoping that it was from there. Also the fact that it looks to be some sort of throne room was piquing his interest.

*The noise doesn't seem to be coming from there, although showing up in this room may or may not have been a bad idea. There is a large golden crown sitting near the throne (which is itself showing signs of falling apart). The catch? The crown is guarded by another sleeping couglin!*

Vampire Bat: I've lost count at two vundred years. *flitters to and fro, then clings to the ceiling* Being king isn't all it's cracked up to ve.

Don slowly walked towards the crown and see if he could touch it without risking it breaking.

"Hmm...." said Don as he walked into the room and notice the crown. He looked around and spotted the couglin. He was beginning to wonder if these things even stir but he wasn't going to tempt the faith. As much as he likes to beat up a beast, he knew that treasure was an importance. Don slowly walked towards the crown and see if he could touch it without risking it breaking.

*As he approaches the crown, the couglin's eyes start to open. It seems to be waking up!*

"King? What do you mean by that?"

Vampire Bat: *disgruntled* I was in line for the throne. Vhen I finally claimed vhat vas mine, what happens later? A force of monsters and angry sorcerers show up, ransack the castle, cut me down to size, and avduct anyone else they can find. Veh!

"I see...So they are alive," said Don as he puts his hand on the red sword. He slows his steps and keeps walking towards the crown. He then said, "Beast...Stay down or I will cut you down."
