My church set up some sort of Griefshare program/support group to help those who have experienced loss. My church also has small group/Bible study/Life Group that meet on the 1st and 3rd Sunday evenings (excluding holidays) with different themes, but usually has a potluck dinner included. Perhaps your place of worship has a similar program?
