Anthem City: Fall of the Possum

[Harri-chan]

Georgia paused, comparing the smart business wear, the clothes she used to wear... with the school uniform, which would be replacing them in her life. Chewing her bottom lip, she straightened up and held Suzie's red plaid skirt against her thighs, but even this felt a little big against her scrawny frame. She pushed the two differing uniforms into the machine and then closed the door, before twisting the dials to set it to run for an hour, and took a step back to see if it had worked!

[Blaze]

THe machine hums to life as a sloshing sound comes from within. Seems to be working okay!

[Harri-chan]

Georgia smiled to herself, patting her hand on top of the machine before putting the powder back into the cupboard, and then headed out of the laundry room. "It's running", she announced with a proud smile, and then blushed a little as she realised what a big deal she was making of such a simple task.

[Blaze]

"Thanks hon." Amanda says as she closes the oven door. Suzie is assisting her by peeling some sweet potato.

[Harri-chan]

"Anything I can do out here?", she asked as she headed over to the kitchen, and hopped up onto one of the stools, which wasn't as easy as she thought it was going to be judging be the slightly struggle to lift her butt up onto it, and then of course her panties were peeking slightly as the short dress rode up.

[Blaze]

Suzie smiles and slides to Georgia a peeler and some carrots

"Peel these please?"

[Harri-chan]

Georgia took the peeler, her eyebrows arching slightly as she glanced at Suzie, before inspecting the thing as if it were the first time she'd seen one. For a moment or two, she just watched the other teenager peeling the sweet potato, before picking up a carrot, and ran the peeler down the length of it, a wide grin spreading across her lips as the skin peeled away.

[Blaze]

Suzie smiles and nods as a comfortable silence falls among the three, interrupted only by the sound of vegetables being peeled. Amanda puts some pots on to boil before adding some frozen peas and corn.

[Harri-chan]

Georgia seemed quite content with the silence, concentrating a great deal on peeling the carrots in the company of her new family. She glanced up briefly, watching Amanda putting the pots to boil, her chest rising slightly as she sucked in a deep breath, "I can't remember the last time I felt so... relaxed".

[Blaze]

Suzie smiles and finishes her peeling before taking a knife and starting to cut up the sweet potatoes.

"Having time to help cook a meal instead of microwaving something then rushing out to save the day huh? Did you ever take days off?"

[Harri-chan]

Georgia frowned a little, and then shook her head. "Nope... crime doesn't give you an annual leave allowance", she said. "You're right though... I just didn't have the time for this kind of thing".

[Blaze]

Suzie frowns a bit and tries to take the carrots from Georgia.

"Here, I'll cut these up for you."

[Harri-chan]

Georgia carefully slides the peeled carrots over toward Suzie with a smile after setting the peeler down. Her feet swung back and forth as they dangled against the legs of the stool. "What are we making here?", she asked, looking to Amanda.

[Blaze]

"Some roasted veges to go with dinner." Suzie explains as she cuts the carrots into four lengthwise. Amanda opens the oven door and puts the cut up vegetables around the roast.

[Harri-chan]

Georgia slides down from the stool, dropping lightly onto her bare feet. "Do you think you can show me how the new phone works when we're done?", she asked, peering up at the taller teenager as she finished off cutting the carrots.
