Anthem City: Fall of the Possum

[Blaze]

"Sure! Lemme just was my hands, sweet potatoes are kinda sticky." Suzie says as she heads to the bathroom.

"Thanks for your help hon." Amanda says with a smile.

[Harri-chan]

Georgia felt herself swelling with pride as Amanda thanked her for her help, and her smile grew even wider before she suddenly threw her arms around the woman, her face ending up awkwardly at the same level as her chest as she pressed herself into the hug. "Anytime!".

[Blaze]

Amanda gives a surprised cry, but smiles in a motherly fashion and pats Georgia on the head.

"Now run along so Suzie can show you how that phone works."

[Harri-chan]

Blushing a little, Georgia untangles herself and heads off to the bedroom she now shared with Suzie, and climbed up onto the top bunk to wait for the older girl to return from the bathroom. Her gaze drifted across to the window, and for a moment she just peered out at the wealthy neighbourhood in silence.

[Blaze]

As Georgia peers out the window... someone grabs her legs and yanks her from the bed!

[Harri-chan]

Georgia let out a sudden yelp as she was dragged from the top bunk, feeling her light dress ride up as she slipped over the edge of it, despite her best efforts to grab onto the sheets, and tumbled down toward the floor, where she landed awkwardly and crashed onto her backside, the bed sheets sliding down after it to drape over her head...

[Blaze]

All that would have happened, had Georgia not caught the girl as she dropped, pulling her into a hug!

"Hahahah! Gotcha~"

[Harri-chan]

Georgia blushed brightly, her heart racing inside her chest as she was caught by Suzie. She was used to scaling skyscrapers, yet had screamed had being tugged off the top bunk. Squirming around, she peered up at the older teen, and gave her an embarrassed smile before returning the hug!

[Blaze]

Suzie smiles and sets Georgia down, fishing out the box containing her cellphone from a shopping bag.

"Ready to enter the information age?"

She hands the box to Georgia to open!

[Harri-chan]

Georgia smoothed out her dress, before an excited grin spread over her face as she was presented with the box. "I have used a cellphone before... and the internet. Remember you had to come over a few months ago to put that virus protection on my computer", she said as she sat back in the lower bunk.

Resting the box on her lap, she carefully pulled open the folds of cardboard, before reaching in to pull out the new, pink cellphone. "It's so tiny... hey, where are all the buttons?".

[Blaze]

Suzie giggles.

"Oh I remember. I also remember thinking that your computer was probably older than me!"

She reaches over and grasps the phone, unfolding it!

"Right there..." she says, giving an exaggerated sigh of expatriation

[Harri-chan]

"You're not that old anyway...", she muttered in reply to the reading about the computer she used to have. "And that gives me an idea. All that stuff abandoned at my old apartment... why don't we sneak back there sometime and grab things we could sell? Maybe we'd even raise enough money to get me a fancy new laptop like yours", she suggested.

As Suzie flipped open the phone, she stared, with a mixture of awe, confusion... and fear she'd break the little thing within seconds of getting her hands on it. "How does it work?".

[Blaze]

Suzie gives a slight frown at that.

"But... won't you want that stuff back some day?"

She reaches into the box and pulls out a wrapped-up power cord and a plastic bag containing a battery.

"Gotta have the battery put in and then charged first obviously."

[Harri-chan]

"You really think I'll be able to undo this?", she asked, with a hopeless glance down at herself, before giving the other teenager a smile. "I don't think I'll be needing any of that stuff, Suzie... ", she murmured as she held the phone out for her to place the battery inside.

[Blaze]

Suzie's frown deepens as she puts an arm around Georgia, pulling her close.

"It'll be okay..."
