One of the first lessons for Chloe to learn was... young ponies needed naps. She didn't remember feeling tired, or heading to bed, but just woke up feeling confused, much as she had done after blacking out when the original spell had been cast.
She didn't know how long she'd been out for, but when she woke, the excited tones of Casey and Holly were absent. Her eyes peeked open and looked around... recognising the shape of the room, the way the ceiling slanted, the placement of the window and the door... it was her room from when she was Clark, but that's where the familiarity ended.
The walls were now pink, as was the carpet, and the curtains. There was no bed, no computer or television, but neat piles of colourful toys, including rubber balls, bright building blocks, and a collection of dolls, both ponies and humans. It was only after a moment or two that Chloe realised she was viewing all this through white wooden bars. They surrounded her on four sides, and towered up high... well, high for a pony of Chloe's size. There was a gate, but the latch was at the top, far beyond her reach.
As she went to climb onto her hooves, she struggled again, realising she was wrapped in a soft pink blanket, and it took her a while of squirming around to untangle herself and get up onto all fours. Hesitantly, she neared the bars, and then went to call out... only to produce a muffled sound and a vibration through her face. Confusion flashed across her face, and she realised there was something in her mouth! She leaned her head down and spat, causing a pony pacifier to tumble out and land on the carpet between her front hooves.
She felt the warm sensation of a blush go through her cheeks, and then cleared her throat before lifting her head and calling through the bars, "Hello?".
