Anthem City: Fall of the Possum

[Harri-chan]

Georgia smiled and brushed a kiss against Suzie's cheek. "I know... things are better now than they've ever been", she said as she looked down, and pushed the charger cable into the phone. "Is that right?".

[Blaze]

"Huh... I guess I kinda take my life for granted huh?"

The phone's screen lights up, a picture of a white charging battery on a pink background appearing!

"That's it. Here's the power button. Hold it down to turn it on." Suze says, pointing to a button with a red phone and a power symbol in the corner

[Harri-chan]

Georgia gently places her finger on the button and pushes it, before looking up to meet Suzie's gaze with a smile, "You're Mom tried getting me to give it all up for years... I know she won't be pleased about the way it's happened, but... I think part of her will be kinda happy I'm coming to school with you tomorrow instead of doing what I usually do".

[Blaze]

The phone turns on! It first asks for the name of the owner.

"Mmm... she just doesn't want you getting hurt. Ah, now here you just type in your name using the number keys. Do you know how?"

[Harri-chan]

Georgia chewed her bottom lip and studied the phone for a moment before giving her head a firm nod. "I know. She's always wanted me to be safe", she smiled as she carefully used the keypad to enter her name. "Okay, what next?".

[Blaze]

Next, the phone asks for the user to select their timezone.

"You just pick your timezone and it'll figure out the current time and date from the internet." Suzie says with a smile

[Harri-chan]

Georgia's eyebrows rose slightly at that bit of information, but she picked the right time zone from the list. "Huh, smart phone...", she muttered. "So you're telling me... this tiny little thing has the Internet?", she asked, sounding unsure that such an amazing feat could be possible.

[Blaze]

Suzie smiles and nods.

"And a camera and video recorder. Bit more advanced than that clunky old thing you used to have am I right?"

[Harri-chan]

"A camera and video recorder?", she asked, once more repeating Suzie's words with a stunned sounding voice. She turned the phone from side to side, squinting at it and then shaking her head before looking back to the other teenager. "Yeah, a lot more advanced... I bet those would come in really handy for recon missions... but what do YOU use them for?".

[Blaze]

Georgia would see that on the back of the phone is a fish-eye camera.

"Me? Usually to stay in contact with friends." Suzie says.

[Harri-chan]

"You use the camera and video recorder to stay in contact with friends?", she asked with a puzzled look, lifting her gaze from the phone, to glance back up at Suzie. "How does that work?".

[Blaze]

"Er, what I meant was that I mostly use the phone to keep in contact, but I can send videos and pictures to my friends." Suzie says

[Harri-chan]

Georgia seemed quite impressed by her new phone's abilities, and admired it a little longer before leaning over to very carefully set it on the bedside dresser to finish charging. She sucked in a deep breath and looked back to Suzie with a smile, "What shall we do now? I guess we still have a while before bed... ".

[Blaze]

Suzie blinks, then laughs and pats Georgia on the back

"Don't tell me you forgot about dinner!"

[Harri-chan]

"Oh yeah... guess I'm more tired than I realised... ", she blushed, looking rather embarrassed. It had been a busy day, but was it really more tiring than a full day of work followed by an evening of fighting crime? Was this another side effect of the Hellchemist's potion? She leaned into Suzie as her back was patted, and gave the girl another firm hug, "This dress is so comfy... you'd never get away with wearing something so short when you're my... uh... I mean, when you're older... ".
