Anthem City: Fall of the Possum

[Blaze]

"There's a half hour one in the morning and another half hour one in the early afternoon." Suzie says. As they turn a corner, the school comes into view, students in uniform entering the gates!

[Harri-chan]

Georgia came to a sudden stop, and stared at the gates, with the students pouring through and heading up to the large building. "That's... a school? It looks like a palace!", she gasped. "I knew this was an expensive school, but... wow... ". She shook her head in disbelief as they moved forward with the crowd.

[Blaze]

Suzie giggles and leads Georgia through the crowds, grabbing the younger girl's hand so they don't get separated.

[Harri-chan]

Squeezing Suzie's hand, Georgia followed along, her gaze darting about at the kids that were around them. The chatter was so much louder than she was used to, but then again, there was nothing like this in the adult world to compare to. People didn't stream into work this way. "You'll come find me at the break, right?".

[Blaze]

Suzie smiles and points over to a table under a tree nearby.

"Me and my friends meet there during breaks. Can you remember where it is?"

[Harri-chan]

Georgia studied the spot, glancing up at the building and then back a couple of times before giving the older teenager a determined nod. "Yup", she said, confidently, and then turned, getting swept up in the wave of students heading into the school building. "It's gonna take forever to learn my way around here... ".

[Blaze]

"Aw, you'll manage. I figured it out eventually."

Suzie guides Georgia into the school proper.

"Mom said I had to take you to administration first of all."

[Harri-chan]

She nodded her head, walking a little closer to Suzie than she had been outside. Her dark eyes were gazing around, somewhat nervously, her brain still struggling a little to deal with having to look up at 'kids'. "Right... she already told them I was coming", she murmured, distracted.

[Blaze]

Suzie smiles and nods, leading Georgia down a corridor to a reception area. A woman works behind a desk, typing at a computer, dressed similar to how Georgia used to

[Harri-chan]

Without really thinking about it, Georgia had taken up a position just behind Suzie, with only everything above her nose visible as she peeked at the smartly dressed woman at the desk, and felt her cheeks turn pink. Clearing her throat, she side-stepped around the older teenager.

"Hi. My name is Georgia. Georgia Hepkins. I start school here today... ".

[Blaze]

The woman looks over and smiles down at Georgia.

"Well hello sweetie. Yes, I know all about you arriving. Could I just ask you to take a seat over here?"

She indicates an empty chair next to her desk.

[Harri-chan]

Georgia's blush brightened at the tone the woman used to speak to her, but she did as she was asked, shuffling over to the seat and parking her butt onto it. Her dark eyes studied the woman for a moment, and then looked up at Suzie, "I'll see you at break... ".

[Blaze]

Suzie folds her arms and shakes her head.

"I gotta help you find your home room first."

The receptionist takes out... a digital camera? She points it at Georgia.

"Look this way please."

[Harri-chan]

Georgia turned back to receptionist as the woman called for her attention, and confusion spread across her face as sge saw the camera pointing at her. "Huh?". The word came out without thought, and she squirmed with embarassment. More photos had been taken of her in the last three days than the ten years that come before them!

[Blaze]

"It's for your student ID hon. C'mon, you can make a smarter face than that." the receptionist says in a gentle teasing voice.
