Anthem City: Fall of the Possum

[Harri-chan]

"Suzie", smiled Georgia as she hugged the older girl back tightly, and found herself giggling. Her brown eyes glanced at Suzie's two very different friends, and then she stepped back and looked to Dana.

"Suzie, this is my friend Dana. She's a cheerleader. Dana, this is my cousin Suzie. She plays soccer", she said with a nod.

[Blaze]

"Nice to meet you Dana. Thanks for looking out for Georgia for me." Suzie says happily.

"This is Natasha and Belle." she says, pointing to the goth and the blond respectively.

[Harri-chan]

Georgia blushed as Suzie thanked Dana for looking out for her. It was starting to feel more and more like all those years spent being 'Auntie Georgia' were nothing but a dream. She nodded to Natasha and Belle as she released the hug and stepped back.

"Hi... ", she said, lifting a hand from her side to wave at the older girls, and then glanced nervously around for any sign of the three bullies in the playground.

[Blaze]

"Hey." Natasha says curtly. "Hi there!" Belle says perkily.

Dana smiles and hugs Georgia from behind.

"She's been great~ Did you know she stood up to Alicia Clarent?"

[Harri-chan]

Georgia leaned back slightly into Dana's hug before wincing as she told Suzie about the incident with the bullies.

"I don't know if stood up is the right word, Dana... we sort of just ran", she muttered, looking back to Suzie nervously.

"She was demanding five bucks because I was standing outside the bathroom...".

[Blaze]

Natasha seems to perk up a bit at that news.

"Well, you shoved her into the lockers didn't you? That was pretty cool." Dana says with a grin.

"... did you really?" Natasha says. Her voice is rather quiet and horse, like it doesn't get much use.

[Harri-chan]

Georgia looked rather embarrassed, her brown eyes glancing from Dana, to Natasha, and briefly in between at Suzie nervously. Slowly, she nodded her head to the girl named Natasha.

"Yeah, I guess... ", she said, not wanting to admit that the act had now left her fearing the trio of older girls. Her hand had reached down and wrapped around Dana's as she stood with the girl, gently leaning into her.

[Blaze]

"That's pretty cool. No one here has the balls to stand up to them." Natasha says.

"Oh my, sounds like you just earned Natasha's respect." Szuie says with a smile,playfully poking Georgia in the belly.

[Harri-chan]

Georgia squirmed and blushed at the poke, although Natasha's words were just making her more nervous. People probably didn't stand up to Alicia because they knew it wasn't a smart move.

"We made brownies", she blurted, trying to change the subject so she didn't have to picture three angry older girls searching the school for her.

[Blaze]

"Oh?" Suzie says with a grin.

"Well don't hoard them!"

[Harri-chan]

Georgia hesitated for a moment, but then broke into a grin as she pulled her back pack from over her shoulders.

"We have to keep some for Auntie Amanda... ", she said as she unzipped it, and then bent down, setting the bag on the floor, and reached in with both hands to tug out the little plastic container. Pulling the lid from it, she offered the brownies to Suzie and her friends.

[Blaze]

Suzie, Natasha and Belle all take one, biting into them.

"Mmmm~! Yummy!" Suzie says.
"Very nice." Belle says with a grin.
"They're okay..." Natasha mutters.

[Harri-chan]

Georgia watched the reactions of the three nervously, and then broke into a bright grin at the positive comments from Suzie and Belle, and what she thought was positive from Natasha. She sucked in a deep breath and smiled brightly at Dana, offering her one.

"Dana helped me! I never baked anything before... ".

[Blaze]

The older girls finish their brownies.

"Those were great hon, thanks!" Suzie says, pulling Georgia into a hug.

"But don't fill up on them! Don't forget the lunch Mom made you."

[Harri-chan]

Georgia nodded her head as she placed the container back into her bag. "I won't eat any more. Promise", she said, zipping the pink back pack up and sliding it over her shoulders again as she was pulled into a hug by Suzie, and returned it with a shy grin.
