Circe's Manor: Re-re-redux!

Well, we actually have one of those right near here! Would you like me to show you to it?

[AmbushCat]

*Eebon and Elk cheer their agreement, while Ezekiel holds Dana's arm a bit tighter and purrs lightly.*

Ellen: ... *grabs one of the plastic bags she came in with earlier* ...I would like that.

[Circe]

*Dana nods.* All right. Follow me, then! *Dana heads out of the room and down the hall, whistling a little tune as she goes.*

[AmbushCat]

Ellen: ...Consider yourself followed.

*The group trails along behind her (except for Ezekiel, of course). Elk is muttering to himself about worms and ninja ropes.*

[Circe]

*After a short while, Dana brings to a door with a drawing of some kind of joystick on it. She holds the door open for the kids, revealing for them a room filled with games of all sorts! There's arcade cabinets, pinball machines, air hockey tables, foosball, and other such things. Also in the room are several maids, most appearing to be teenaged or younger.* So, what do you think?

Eebon: *pumps fist* Dibs on the foosball, gaw! *charges inside*

Ezekiel: *struggles to be put down* Foosball! Fooooosball!

Ellen: ... *sighs* ...Guess I'd better help keep you lot in line. Elk, let's play a round of Pong--- ... *blinks* ...Elk?

*Elk... isn't next to them anymore. A quick search shows that he's perched at one end of an air hockey table---and having been there since the door was opened---challenging one of the maids to a match. Ellen hangs her head, trembling with suppressed anger.*

[Circe]

*Dana giggles and sets Ezekiel down so she can go play.* Why so worried, Ellen? I'm sure Elk and the others will be fine.

*Meanwhile, the maid eagerly accepts Elk's challenge!*

*Eebon goes about getting a stool for Ezekiel to stand on, making it easier for her to play at the table. Meanwhile, once Elk's challenge is accepted, it doesn't take long for the game to start.*

Ellen: *looks up at Dana* ...I'm not worried about something causing them harm. ...It's just that the last time I let Elk out of my sight in a place this big, I almost wasn't allowed to return.

[Circe]

*Dana frowns and crouches next to Ellen so they can talk on a more personal level.* Would you care to tell me about it?

Ellen: *almost steps away from her, but forces herself to stay put* ...Well... I got permission to study magic someplace a while ago, at this vampire's mansion. Elk was with me at the time. ...We had an agreement made: while I spent time with the mansion's librarian, the vampire's staff would keep Elk occupied... "He's the entertaining sort", she said. It seemed too good to be true, but I was anxious to get to my reading.

*The calmest of the Harrison children pauses, both to rest her voice a moment and to judge Dana's expression.*

[Circe]

*Dana seems to be a little surprised by what Ellen's saying.* Ah... A vampire, you say? What happened?

[AmbushCat]

Ellen: ...It was a little while later... I'm not sure how long. The vampire's younger sister found out about him and put up a fuss, wanting out of her room to meet him. They finally consented, so long as the elder sister supervised her. ... ...That was a mistake. The younger sibling was taken in by his enthusiasm and complete lack of fear of her, and they spent the next hour playing together.
*shudder*
...Three quarters of the mansion was wrecked by the time they finally stopped chasing each other around and hit the kitchen for a snack.

[Circe]

*Dana's mouth hangs slightly open.* ...Wow. That sounds serious...

Ellen: ...The elder sister was cowering on top of a chandelier when we found her. Yes, I'd say it was serious... At any rate, I'm only allowed to go back if I don't take Elk with me. That by itself was an embarrassment to me.

[Circe]

*Dana nods slowly...* That must have been difficult for you... And you're afraid the same thing will happen here?
