The women turns to Shiki. "First we would prefer if you undressed. You can wear clothes or a provided bodysuit, but the scan takes longer than. Once that is completed all you have to do is step in and wait. We will preform the scan." The technician step over, going to the scanners, checking them over before they are going to be used. One of the guys looks over at Terra, the younger of the three and clearly a trainee, looking to be almost 20 years old. He stopping and staring at her for a moment, eying the girl.

...All right. I guess I'll do it nude, then... *Shiki slowly removes her clothes and steps into the booth.*

Natsuki Follows her mom up to the counter and waits with her. She blinks and looks at the girl a bit wondering who she is.

[Hira Kanaki]

"Ow...that kind of hurt but at least I'm alive." Keiko said while looking around, and noticing the lack of clothes. *Death, you could have at least let me keep the clothes I was wearing on...* Keiko thought as she decided to go looking for something to cover herself up with.

Finally, the creature said something she could understand. Planet. Need help. You help? Ganymede thought to herself. Those are the only five words she could make out. "Are you saying that your planet needs help?" Ganymede asked with concern. She somehow didn't feel any threat from this creature like she had originally. "What about my friends and family here, will they be okay? I definitely would be happy to help out your planet if you can guarantee that my friends and family will be okay."

Without an answer the creature, whatever it is seems to rise up in front of her, like it is tripling in size. It's body diving down over Ganymede. She finding herself wrapped completely in darkness, a darkness that seems to be out of place still to her. It feels deeply ethereal and full of an unknown energies. She would get the feeling that she shouldn't touch it.
After a moment the darkness fades away revealing her in an old, ruin down shrine. Looks to be an old Japanese shrine. She can hears bird chirping outside the shrine and some inside.

"Okay, wow that was a heck of a ride!" Ganymede said as the darkness fades and she looks at and listens to her surroundings.
"Okay this is too weird even for me!" Ganymede says quietly to herself. "I never even felt that feeling before. What is this place? Where was I transported to?"
Ganymede then takes a chance to look around the area to see if she could make heads or tails of the shrine in question.

'Feeling' the young man's stare on her back, Terra turned to face him. As she did, he flinched and looked away as his sense of propriety returned to him.

"An old injury" she stated simply, "and the surgery that followed."

Leaving it at that, she stepped into the scanner.

As soon as the pod activated, Terra was suddenly struck with a burst of mana almost powerful enough to make her stagger backwards. At first she thought this was caused by the scanner somehow, but after a moment realised that it was coming from another of the domes. Given the force of the burst, even having filtered through the impressive barriers the domes projected, Terra was rather glad that she had not been closer. Had she been in the immediate vicinity, the mystic feedback would have been debilitating.
Once she was not reeling from the impact of the wave, Terra found that it was somehow familiar. She had definitely felt something of this nature before, but the interference of the domes was making it difficult to identify.

The second wave of energy was different, almost a wall of mana pressing against her until it felt as though she was trying to walk through tar. Then, all of a sudden, it vanished, leaving naught but a slowly fading spike in the city's ambient energy.

Were she not in the pod, she would have immediately made for the source of the disturbance, but right now she would have to wait, lest she drawn unwanted attention.

Natsuki Follows her mom up to the counter and waits with her. She blinks and looks at the girl a bit wondering who she is.

The little girl hides herself for a moment, behind the wall, returning after a moment to motion to Natsuki to come over to her. Maybe she is lost? Or Is in danger. Maybe she is just looking for someone to play with.

"Ow...that kind of hurt but at least I'm alive." Keiko said while looking around, and noticing the lack of clothes. *Death, you could have at least let me keep the clothes I was wearing on...* Keiko thought as she decided to go looking for something to cover herself up with.

Well, is she alive? She definitely feels like she is alive. Her heart is beating and she is breathing. But Death never restored her to her body. Maybe this is all just her body's way of coping with her dying or something else. As she gets up she notices she is female again. If this is the after life or something wouldn't she see herself as she believes herself to be? It looks like Death had bad aim, as she notices that she is surrounded by nothing but trees, hearing animals in the brush around her, moving away from where she is, hearing some noises from them.

There is no sign of the creature now. Seems anything she had to ask would go unanswered. This might make things more difficult for her, not even sure if her family and friends are going to be okay. She doesn't see much, it seems to be an old shrine, it doesn't look like it had been used in years, and doesn't seem like it was kept up on well. Fallen beams and broken images around. She might want to be careful to not damage it further.

Oddly enough the one looking at Terra hardly even looked at her, he seeming more interested in Terra. They moving back out of the room, the younger one remaining a moment longer.
As she steps into the machine she feels like she passed through a wall of static electricity. But her hair doesn't react as such. A voice comes on over a speaker. "Just a last minute check of systems on this end, stay as still as possible." She feels a strange tingling going over her body. After a moment that fades, but returns to her head and starts to work its way down her body.

It didn't seem like he even noticed that until she said anything. "Does it hurt? Are..."
He is interrupted by the speak. "Mike. Stop flirting and get out of there before the contaminated the results."
The boy nods. "Sorry I am coming." He is blushing a lot now and goes to the door. "Mind talking later?" Before she can answer he leaves the room.
Like Shiki when she enters the machine she feels the static like energy going over her body, but her sensors reveal that it some kind of magical energies, like the other technologies she has seen thus far. Her body begins to tingle, going from her head, and working its way down her body.
She can lock on to the current location of the energies, but if they move she might not be able to find them again. But at this point seems the scan is interfering with tracking them.

The older women notices Hitomi awake finally. She stepping over dressed in a miko outfit like the one Hitomi is dressed in. "That is..." She seems a bit disappointed in seeing the outfit on Hitomi. "My daughter used to wear that one."
Hitomi looks down, feeling like she did something wrong now, knowing that the women's daughter had died about 6 months ago. "Sorry. I'll go change."
"No. Just didn't know I left it out." the women smiles at the sleeping girl on Hitomi. She rubbing her head, causing her to nuzzle into Hitomi's chest. "She misses her so much. Sorry. I didn't know she was there."
"It's okay." Hitomi was annoyed by the girl nuzzling against her, blushing.

Once in the scanning chamber, she shudders as she encounters the strange static-like sensation, but heeds the voice's advice and tries to stay as still as possible, hoping for this all to be over quickly.*

The scanning process, while ultimately harmless, caused Terra some concern. Just as she was trying to work out the origin of the energy flare, she was assaulted by a fog of static that pressed in on her at all sides. While the electromagnetic wave caused only minuscule interference with her cybernetics, there was a background wave of inorganic mana that 'rubbed' against her magic circuits, causing her energy to flare in response. She managed to force the spike of mana down, regaining control of her power before it could become a threat, however she was forced to maintain focus as every fluctuation in the static threatened another flare.

While she knew that the reaction was due to the insulating properties of the pod and the unusual power source this city ran on, the whole process left a deeply unsettling message; this city had a way to hurt her if it so chose.

Natsuki walks over. " hello there. Are you lost or something?"

Keiko looks around for a bit then thinks of something that didn't occur to her due to landing on that rock. *Wait a minute...Am I even still alive, besides Death didn't send me back to the place I was at, and at the very least he could have at least given me some clothes.* Keiko thought as she explored the area.

Shiki feels the effect going down over her chest, moving downward seeming to scan for any sickness or imperfections in her body. At the same time the machine has acquired a base line DNA of her from this scanning proceeds, down over her hips and going down her legs, at her feet she feels a tickling sensation within them. It is strange in knowing that the machine has basically scanned her whole entire body.

Terra pod picks up on the flare of energies, automatically shutting down as one of the tech, and the younger trainee hurry in to check on it. "Please step out of the pod miss. Sorry about that. We picked up a spike in the energies. It might have malfunctioned." The one says behind the screen. The two inside begin to double check the machine, starting to take it apart, unaware of the true issue of the machine. "Sorry miss. We can try again with the other machine if you'd like. Once your friend is done." They other machine would have the same issue more than likely. Seems the auto shut down occurs when there is a spike in the mana or energies levels.

Natsuki walks over. " hello there. Are you lost or something?"

The little girl nods, looking up at the girl, shyly. "a-are you my mommy?" She turns and runs from Natsuki, going to the next corner and looking back towards her.

Keiko looks around for a bit then thinks of something that didn't occur to her due to landing on that rock. *Wait a minute...Am I even still alive, besides Death didn't send me back to the place I was at, and at the very least he could have at least given me some clothes.* Keiko thought as she explored the area.

The only one that can know for sure is the horseman, and since she is no longer on her own world he is no longer there. For her however she might find herself wondering about if she was dead, alive, or in a coma. But all she knows at the moment is she is pretty chilly and would probably need something to cover herself soon. She might want to be careful where she steps in the thick brush. So far she's only seen small animals running from her, and heard a few chirps and yips from them as they run away from her into the dense tree line, luckily.

Ganymede can see a hole in the roof. It isn't much but if she is careful it might be an exit from her to use. How, well it works... depends on how careful she is getting to it. The floors are old, creaking with each step, feeling as if they might give way under her weight. She could always try the front door, it has rotted away and except there is a couple beams in front of it from the ceiling, that feel through.

"Himoko." The old women says, causing Hitomi to turn to her as if asking how she knew. "Your mother told me. And your eyes show the truth of you. Not many have eyes like yours. Cold and lonely. Eyes of a fighter."
Hitomi looks away and hangs her head. "Mom... of course."
"Himoko, don't blame her. It is pretty apparent what happened. You became a mew, like her and female when you did. She tells me you refuse to fight with the others. Why is that?"
Hitomi looks down. "They are weak. They are petty. They all forgot what being a guy is like. I have not. And I will not stop trying to find a way to return to being myself." With that she hands the girl to the old women and stands up. Going to change back into her clothes. She pauses, feeling something odd... some sort of energies.

(Sorry. I got dragged away mid-update and just wanted to post to be sure my progress wasn't lost.)

*The machine will find Shiki to be generally healthy, though perhaps slightly tired and stressed from the day's events... Shiki, meanwhile, silently waits for this all to be over so she can reclaim her items.*

Natsuki blinks confused by that being only a teenager herself with no boyfriend. " no i'm not but i can help you find her." she says so the girl can hear her

OOC: Sorry for the delay, been busy this week.

"No, that shall not be necessary" said Terra, moving to collect her clothes. "The interference is most likely being caused by the systems that grant my spine function. I would rather not risk further exposure to something that could cause damage."

"If you don't mind me saying, I have never heard of a successful spinal repair before" said one of the older technicians, a note of careful wonder in his voice, "Might I ask how it works?"

"I was not the one to create it." Terra said simply, "That was my mother. Who is dead."

The technicians face fell at the news, but Terra found herself compelled to continue speaking.

"I do however know of the basic technology." she said, "At a later date, I shall share it."

And with that she left before the technicians could reply.


As she left the room, Terra stopped herself. Why had she done that? Given away information that would only draw attention to herself?

Compassion; they need the technology.

A flicker of biological information buzzed incoherently for an instant in the back of her mind before vanishing. Shaking her head, Terra decided that as soon as she was able, she was going to put her brain into full diagnostics.
