Hunting (with) the Exorcists

[Blaze]

Blaze rubs the back of her head and chuckles a bit.

"Kiiiinda. It was a genie. After she destroyed my old one, she gave me that as a new one. It's convenient in some ways, lets us relocate easily if needs be." she says.
"Demons did this to me! Tried to make me 'weak' but I managed to take them down and get away!" Lucy pipes up.

[Harri-chan]

"Genie?", asked Rosemarie, her expression becoming more confused.

"I thought they were just fairy tales... ", she muttered, regarding Blaze as if she were unsure wether or not the prettily dressed girl was having fun at her expense. Then, her gaze turned to Lucy, and she reached out to squeeze the youngster's shoulder.

"I admire your determination".

[Blaze]

Blaze chuckles and shakes her head at Rosemarie.

"In Muffinville, no such thing as fairy tails. All those kinds of things exist here, all those and more."

Lucy gives the woman a small, shy smile. "Thanks..."

The group emerges out of the maze of alleys into the streets proper. Okuni turns to Rosemarie and asks, "Which way?"

Rosemarie stepped to the front of the group as they reached the street, and she glanced right and left before sniffing at the air, and then pointed to the right.

"This way... ", she said, and began to lead. At each junction she paused, taking a moment or two before deciding which way they should turn. Along the way, they passed by the comic shop, just as Elliot was stepping out. He was dressed in a sky blue t-shirt and jeans, with his long blonde hair loose. Although he hadn't spent a ton of time around the Exorcists himself, he did have memories of spending a great deal of time with them when he'd been stuck in the form of Ellie.

"Blaze? Where are you guys all going?", he asked.

[Blaze]

Blaze turns and gives Elliot a half-smile. THe kid meant well, but he always brought up memories of Ellie, memories that were somewhat sad.

"This lady wants our help fighting a witch, a vampire and a werewolf." she explains, carrying on after Rosemarie, not even stopping to chat.

At the sound of a new voice, Rosemarie glanced back, shooting Elliot a puzzled look, but she continued onwards, leading the group across Muffinville Square, passed the council building.

"Woah, that sounds pretty cool", said Elliot, swinging a bag of comics from one hand as he hurried to remain alongside Blaze. At the steps of the Muffinville library, Rosemarie came to a stop, and held up a hand to signal for the rest of the group to do the same.

"This building... what is it?", she asked. "They were here recently. Possibly still inside... ".

[Blaze]

Jean stares at the building, then laughs and looks at Blaze.

"You were with them, dummy!" the nun says.
"Hey, I don't have any 'Detect Evil' or any of that crap." Blaze mutters, crossing her arms before spotting Elliot. "Elliot, this is some serious business, you should stay out of this."

Okuni rolls her eyes and addresses Rosemarie. "This is the public library. Very easy place to get ambushed. They would recognize you, we need to be careful."

[Harri-chan]

Rosemarie doesn't react to Jean's teasing of Blaze, but she does turn to look at Okuni when the girl began to give her a little more information on the library. She nodded, and rubbed at her chin with her fingers.

"Is this the only way in or out?", she asked.

Elliot gave a sort of little laugh at Blaze being teased, although he clearly didn't get the joke. He frowned when Blaze then told him he should think about getting out of there.

"Come on, Blaze... I can handle a bit of danger", he protested.

[Blaze]

Okuni shrugs.

"Blaze would probably know better than I."

Blaze stares at Elliot and sighs.

"Look... fine. But you gotta listen to whatever I tell you and obey, got it?"

[Harri-chan]

Elliot let out a sound that was rather close to a squeal as Blaze relented, and he threw his skinny arms around her neck, giving her a squeeze and a kiss on the cheek.

"You got it, Blaze", he promised.

Rosemarie glanced back to the pair, and now seemed a little troubled. Her gaze next sought out Lucy, and she arched an eyebrow before shaking her head.

"Blaze... are there other exits?", she asked, taking a stepping closer to them, and then paused, sniffing at Elliot's blonde hair. Suddenly, her arms were coming across his chest, and she had him in a firm grasp.

"He smells of the creature!".

[Blaze]

Blaze's cheeks burn at the show of affection from Elliot, eyes looking away from him as she gingerly tries to push him off.

"Yeah, welcome..." she mutters, rubbing the back of her neck. At Rosemarie's glance, Lucy smiles, points to Elliot and twirls her finger around her temple, international sign for 'nutter.'

Blaze considers Rosemarie's question when she suddenly grabs hold of Elliot and declares him to smell of the creatures. She lets out a put-upon sigh and pinches the bridge of her nose.

"Dammit Elliot, what have you gotten yourself into this time?... which one Rosemarie?"

[Harri-chan]

Elliot looked ready to burst into tears as the woman locked his arms behind his back. Loose blonde hair flopped about as he shook his head from side to side.

"Blaze! I have no idea what she's talking about, I swear it!", he cried. Rosemarie didn't ease up her hold.

"Only the were creature leaves a scent that can be traced with a human nose. It's not overly strong, but it's on him, there's no question... ".

[Blaze]

Lucy grips Rosemarie by her cloak and gives it a firm tug.

"Settle down, Elliot is a friend. I doubt he'll try and hurt us, he just... gets in over his head sometimes." she says.

"Yeah, loosen up Rosemaria. Keep a hold of him, sure, but no need to hurt him. Can you tell how recent the scent is?" Blaze asks.

[Harri-chan]

Rosemarie looked around the Exorcists with suspicion, but after a moment or two, she relented. In fact, she released Elliot entirely, but leaned over him, sniffing at his hair as he rubbed his sore arms.

"Within the last half hour... Have you been in there?", she asked, pointing up the library steps. Elliot turned, glancing at them in confusion and then shook his head.

"Why would I go in there? I'm telling you, I haven't been hanging around with any... werewolf. I THINK I'd notice!".

[Blaze]

"Well, the point of werewolves is that they are human most of the time, no?" Jean says with a comforting smile as she runs her glowing hands along Elliot's sore arm, chasing the pain away.

"If the scent is strongest around his hair... Elliot, who other than you has touched your hair in the past half hour?" Blaze asks.
