Luckily, no one around the pair noticed that a teenager was hugging someone much older than herself. Perhaps they just didn't care. "Wait, did you say something? You can't remember the last what?"
The girl took a step away from Alex, gazing at him with questioning, but friendly, eyes. Her hands brushed idly against the skirt of her schoolgirl's uniform as she processed what he just said.
"Well, yeah! This is our BFF night out, remember? I can't go shopping around here by myself!... Well, I could, but it wouldn't be any fun. Now c'mon! The shops are going to close if we just keep standing around!" The girl grabbed onto Alex's hand and pulled him along into the city crowd!

"Sure, sure. Always look on the bright side of life and everything, right?" Sherry snorted after saying such a silly thing, but she continued on. "Look, I know it's a lot to take in right now, but just go along with it. Try it for a day, see how it is, and if you're still uncomfortable with the whole thing you can come back here and bother us about it... Well, actually, just bother Meryl about it."

The buildings and cityfolk seemed to swallow Alex as he rushed through the streets with the mysterious girl, and even she didn’t seem quite as tiny as she was before...
“Oh! Here it is!” The excited teenager finally stopped in front of what appeared to be a clothing store... A girl’s clothing store. On display were a plethora of outfits, many of them colorful and daring in design, but there was one that Alex’s companion was enthusiastically pointing at. It was quite simple but cute: a sleeveless white shirt with black floral designs printed on, a black vest to top it, and a pair of small jean shorts.
“I saw this when I was looking around for you and I thought it was SO cute! You have to try it on, Alex!” The girl, who was now curiously at eye level with Alex, lightly tugged on his arm. “You’d look great in it!”
Nephilim wrote:“Yes... Probably.” Sherry shrugged her shoulders. “Honestly, I’m not sure. You’re the first person to drink that one. I know Meryl, though. She’s not that cruel... Most of the time.”
