Hey Hey Swift

Word gets around that a certain pokegal in Muffinville is trying to find an Umbreon by the name of Swift. She seems to be headed down a suburban street at the moment, looking a bit like so, but with the silver-and-white fur coloration of a shiny member of the species on her hair and fur, and wearing jeans and a t-shirt (and only one set of ears, of course).

*A distant BOOM and a few noisy battle cries down the street might prove attention-grabbing.*

The Eevee-girl's ears perk up at the noise. Ever curious, she runs toward it to see what its source is.

*When she gets there, she'll find that Swift---in his natural form at present---is currently engaged in a practice battle against a Mega Gengar. The source of the explosions are shown to be the Shadow Balls and occasional Focus Blast that it's trying to hit Swift with.*

*Neither of them notice the Eevee-girl for the moment, occupied as they are.*

The girl stays out of the way of the big attacks, and watches with a grin. The first time the Umbreon starts going on the offensive or makes an especially dicey dodge she cheers, "Woohoo! Go Swift!" and pumps a hand up in the air.

*Hearing her cheer, Swift's eyes widen and he stumbles in mid-dodge; Mega Gengar attempts to capitalize on this by chucking another Focus Blast at him, but the Umbreon has enough presence of mind to destabilize it with a Psychic attack before it hits him. Swift says something in its own tongue, probably something akin to "TIMEOUT!", before turning his head the Eevee-girl's way and making himself heard with telepathy.*

Swift: --Whyte? Is that you?--

She waves. "Yeah, totally! It's so nice to see you again!" She moves a bit closer and kneels to be closer to the pokemon's eye level. "I wanna give you a hug, but I don't want to crush you or anything.."

Swift: --Nice to see you, too.-- *places both forepaws on one of Whyte's hands* --Any particular reason you were looking for me, or did you just want to say hi and catch up?--

*Behind him the Mega Gengar returns to its normal state, says something to Swift, then turns and flies away down the street.*

"Well, I have a job and stuff now so I wanted to thank you for helping me out when I first got here," says Whyte. Her grin fades slightly, to a sort of thoughtful look, and then she adds, "And, uh, well there is something I thought your boss might be able to help me with, but I didn't really want to bring it up right away, seemed kinda rude, but it's more rude to lie, right?" After this stream of run-on thought she seems as happy as before.

Swift: --You're welcome. And... you're right.-- *backs away a few steps and calls out* --Boss? Hey, Amber!--

*Cue the time-and-space-warping fireball. When it disappears, Amber is standing before them... although in light of the robe, pajamas and slippers, Swift's timing could have been a little better.*

*yawns tiredly* Swift? And... Whyte, was it? What do you want?

Whyte stands up abruptly at Amber's appearance, sweatdropping and putting a hand behind her head. "Aw, gee, I didn't mean right this instant. Ah, look, I...remembered Swift told me once you taught him to use Psychic. I was wondering if I could, I dunno, hire you as a move tutor or something? I was able to teach myself some fighting moves by just basically learning Karate, but uh, I tried teaching myself Confusion once and the next thing I knew it was a few hours later, my pants were on my head and my fur smelled like kumquats."

*moves some errant hair out of her eye* Orange you glad you didn't try Meditate?

*Swift's deadpan uttering of "Bre" makes it clear what his opinion is of Amber's attempt at humor.*

Eh... alright, alright, bad joke, bad joke. I don't mind helping you out, but... *yawns again* ...I don't suppose you could let me wake up first? My kids haven't left for school yet.

"No yeah, that's fine. I didn't mean right away at all, you know, like I thought I'd do something like get Swift to ask you about it when it was convenient and then maybe set an appointment time if you were okay with it."

Hmmm... let's see. ... *smiles after a few moments* I think I know of a place and time. Do you know how to get to the Mungojerrie?

A look of recognition comes across Whyte's face. "Oh yeah, sure! That's the, um, the restaurant with the...well anyway, I've walked by there a few times so I know the place."
