Dave mumbles something about (or seemingly to) his grandmother, and starts stumbling around the ring. He always seems so close to falling over, but never quite does so; his movements have an odd dance-like quality to them that gives a sense of regularity or order, but attempting to follow what that order is inevitably ends in failure.

*Despite her best efforts not to, Callista can't help but watch Dave's movements. As the Teeter Dance runs its course, she finds that her vision is a bit off-kilter and her balance is on the fritz. To our perspective, she doesn't appear to be looking too well, either.*

*one hand on her stomach* Okay... okay... okay. Note to self: binge-eat after the fight.

*Callista tries aiming an Ice Beam at Dave's feet to get him to stop, but the shot goes wide and flies beyond the boundaries of the ring.*

When the dance finally seems about ready to die down, Dave mumbles something about "being straight with ya", and then just goes for a straightforward, full-on tackle at Callista. All however-many-hundred pounds of him.

*Callista's ears twitch, and the fur on her tail gets a bit fluffier. She makes an attempt at dodging, but her confusion gets the better of her and results only in an undignified meeting with a completely understanding ring floor as she trips and falls to her right.*

Dave continues his inexorable inertia-driven trip and lands just where Callista originally was when the tackle started, though depending on exactly how far to the right she fell his wide body might still hit some small part of her.

*As it happens, Dave has landed rather heavily on Callista's legs from the ankles on down. The shock of this happening is enough to restore some clarity to her vision.*

Ghhhh...! Was I really that heavy once? I was not that heavy!

*Callista struggles for a moment, finally managing to direct a psychic bolt of power at Dave's bulk.*

Predictably, the Snorlax-man makes no effort to dodge at all, and takes the hit. It doesn't seem like he took much damage from it, though. "Mmng...forgot my lunch," he mutters unhappily, while rolling over onto his back and off of Callista in what seems like a purely coincidental movement.

*slowly gets up, backing away as she mutters to herself* Well, at least he's off my feet. Though this unpredictability thing's gonna be problematic... *light sigh* Well, nothing to do but see if I can whittle this bad boy down to size. I hope I don't regret doing this...

*Callista takes a deep breath... and ratchets up the cute, her facial fur glimmering a little and her eyes evocative of an average bishoujo heroine. With a smile and a wink, she eases this mental image of her into Dave's subconscious.*

Dave does seem to blush a bit, which suggests the effort to make him see it was successful. He then, well, rather than talking he starts singing: "Frère Jacques, frère Jacques, Dormez-vous? Dormez-vous?" His singing is not quite as bad as Callista's was earlier, but it is kinda painful.

*Callista flinches and stumbles back, slamming both hands over her ears and gritting her teeth. The Round being delivered by its knight is enough to keep her distracted for the moment.*

"Mmn..." Dave pauses for a moment. "Oughta show off the gimmick...'fore we stop," he mutters, and then slowly stands back up, though still clearly asleep. He moves his hands in a way that...doesn't immediately make sense. It's hard once looking at them to look away, and the overall effect of watching the motion for long enough is a feeling of tiredness leaning toward falling asleep.

*Strangely, Callista offers no resistance whatsoever. In fact, she outright welcomes it.*

Heh, a nap sounds like a... *yawns* smashing idea...

*Callista's eyes drift shut as she dozes off. Though she doesn't fall over, she does slouch a bit where she's standing.*

((I knew I probably should've said something in the last post. Dave actually has a very strange ability instead of a normal Snorlax one, and a Thing happens when he and his opponent are both asleep. It's what he keeps referring to as his "gimmick"))

On falling asleep, Callista immediately seems to wake up again in a very different place. It's another ring it seems, but this one is a five-pointed-star-shaped golden floor that seemingly exists above an endless black void, without any actual ropes. On one of the other "points" of the star is a man she might recognize as Dave by the face and clothing, but bodily it's clear this person is actually quite muscular and well-built. He has a bright grin noticing her showing up, and gives a sweeping gesture. "Welcome! This is my dream arena. Isn't it cool?" He seems a lot more energetic in this "form". "You want me to explain what's going on or just roll with it a couple more rounds and do that later?"

((Dream Sync: When Dave and an opponent are both asleep, they share the same dream. Dave's Speed and Defense are swapped in the dream world, and he can use non-normal-type attacks (he can actually only use normal type in the "waking world"). All damage done to either side in the dream world "counts" in the real world.))
