Lyre shrugs. "I haven't sustained any major injury at all from my own magic so far, though other people have now and then. In light of that.." He walks around the room and makes some gestures as he explains: "If you see a small out-of-place spark, be prepared for something slightly strange like dropping off not quite on target; if you see a giant fireworks display accompanying a spell, run."

*Claudette nods.* I see. I will be sure to keep that in mind, sir.

*teleports back on top of Claudette's head* Makes me wonder what an accompanying laser show would signify.

Lyre gets a thoughtful look for a few seconds, and then says, "You know, I'm terrified my magic is going to do that now that someone's mentioned it. I'm just gonna go check on the other rooms if you don't mind." He heads off to the magic circle and moves upstairs to start checking the state of the other rooms.

...Huh. Here I thought I was kidding with that one... *shrug* Oh, well.

Lyre gets a thoughtful look for a few seconds, and then says, "You know, I'm terrified my magic is going to do that now that someone's mentioned it. I'm just gonna go check on the other rooms if you don't mind." He heads off to the magic circle and moves upstairs to start checking the state of the other rooms.

Of course, sir. *Lyre will find that the other rooms are in good shape, with everything dusted off and sorted on the shelves and so on.*

After checking through everything, Lyre heads back to the second floor to find Claudette. "Everything looks great," he says, "better than it has been in at least a year overall. Uh...I think the doorbell made me almost forget about the advance pay thing. Since the client I was meeting paid half up front I think I have some extra to spare anyway.." He removes his hat and eventually pulls out a hundred-dollar bill from it, offering it to the maid-bot. "This isn't really representative of a regular salary, but, well, it's a start, right?"

That will be perfectly acceptable, sir. *Claudette removes Ambush from her head and puts him aside, then takes the money and bows.* I hope I can continue to be of use to you to deserve this. Now, do you require anything else from me at the moment?

"No, this should be good. I need to start working on that potion anyway." Lyre gives a thumbs up and heads toward the elevator-glyph. Jyrras hops off of his shoulder and apparently double-jumps in midair in order to land on one of the couch's armrests.

Upstairs, Lyre removes the towel from his hat and briefly frowns at it. "...It occurs to me I don't actually know how Circe 'acquired' this."

"Is she really evil? I thought it was just, like..orange anger issues or something." Lyre scratches his head. "Well, getting a thread for this potion shouldn't hurt you, and then as payment for more or less helping me out I can see if there's some way to...free you? Or at least give you some kind of agency. How's that sound?"

Jyrras squeaks obnoxiously at Ambush, possibly in an effort to wake him up.
