The Taming of the Mew

*Hidden beneath a certain boutique in Muffinville is the sort of suite you'd expect to find at a fancy hotel. Excellent lighting, thick carpeting, expensive-looking furniture, the works. Only a bowl full of hard candy (primarily root beer barrels and butterscotch) on a table in front of the couch does anything to detract from this.*

*A ceiling panel slides open to reveal a tunnel... and Callista crashes down from it onto the couch. She rebounds once off the couch and lands on the floor, laughing breathlessly.*

Shortly afterward, another person who looks very much like, but is not in fact, Callista, falls out of the tunnel spinning like a human fan blade before making an abrupt landing across the couch, face buried in an armrest. "Mrgfh..."

Callista: *winds down her laughter, wincing* ...That couldn't have been kosher... *taps the double's shoulder* Say something if you can hear me.

Not-Callista pushes with her hands to get her head out from the armrest. "Mossthing. Uh...anything." She turns and sits up on the couch, looking annoyed. "Nothing. Tithing. Withering. Grrrrrrh." Each word appears to be more frustrating to her than the last for some reason, just ending on a growl. "I don't hurt."

Callista: *pushes herself up* That's what counts. Want anything to drink?

"Tower." She frowns, shakes her head as if to clear it, and then carefully enunciates: "Wah. Ter. Plose."

Callista: *smiles* You're working on it, and that's what counts. I'll get your drink, so relax a moment.

*Calli walks off through a door in the back of the suite. The sounds of cupboard rummaging and water running can be heard.*

Not-Callista leans back on the couch, managing not to do anything strange mostly through not doing much of anything at all.

*Callista returns before too long, giving the double a glass of water and taking a seat in a nearby recliner. She takes a deep breath and relaxes herself, starting to look worn out.*

Callista: You have a name I can call you other than 'Callista', by some chance?

"I...they called me me-doll numero...uh...lots of numbers. But if you look at it down-side up it says Calli...sta, too. See roy."

((calculator writing: 41517743 on a calcluator, upside down (as in, turned 180 degrees), looks similar to "CALLIStA" although some of it is a bit off))

Callista: Hmm... that makes it a bit harder. "Callista" is my name, too... *gestures at the ceiling* ...and people up there were mistaking you for me.

"Oh..I don't like being macetikin for someone else, either. Or..hurting your roopetation, especially since you saved me." Not-Callista leans over...away from the armrest and and just lands awkwardly sideways across the couch cushions. "I haven't been me for long, I could just used to get something else."

Callista: *thinks for a few seconds* ...Well, then. How would you like to be called 'Opal'?

She takes a moment to consider it. "It nounds sice. Sound'n zice. You know what I neem."

Callista: 'Opal' it is, then.
Now that you're effectively free, you're going to need a place to call home. *gestures at the suite in general* Here's as good a place as any, I would think...
