Just keeping the crowd under control if they loose too much and possibly someone to watch the tables depending on what happens. Not enough customers to need a bouncer on any the the casinos yet and I don't think we worry about legal gambling ages around here.

[AmbushCat]

*salutes* Roger that! ... On second thought, don't. I've already rogered it enough!

*Ambush explodes into a small cloud of fur that scatters around, all the better to keep a general eye on things.*

I hope it was jolly then if that was so. *Watches Ambush disperse among the crowds.* Well time to make sure things are going down. Let us see... I think I'll check the Powers Poker table for the moment. *Makes his way toward a table where the pot is a mixed bag of various abilities that'll go to the winner.* You know, I think these are the same people who were playing when this place disappeared. Hm..

*After some time has opened up a new attraction at the casino.*
Death Gem Championships. Challenge one of the staff* here to a fight to the death. You win you get their death gem but they will be unique. You get all the powers that gem would grant you if you choose to absorb it however there will be only that first set of options. You lose they will take your death gem and select one of the options from your list to gain for themselves with again only the first set of options being a consideration.

Don't worry, your safety is a priority here. You lose, we'll revive you after the gem business is sorted out. You win, well the staff here know better than to let death interfere with their work.

*Only certain staff are open to the competition. If they are they'll be wearing a pin that displays as much. *Raleigh is wearing such a pin for instance.*

*Zapana Zquor, in the mood for a decent fight, turns up at the casino not long after.*

Who besides you is up for a potential fight? Just curious.

Ebony, Elenore, Dirge, Naro, Shara, and Laran. They are the primarily available ones.

Hmm... give me a minute.

*Zapana turns away for a second and pulls out a communicator, blowing on it as if to get dust off of it, then hits a few buttons in sequence.*

Oi, you there? ...Hey, man. Long time no speak. Anything in the Infinite Defense's archives on these dudes...? *rattles off the names she was given* ... ... ...Mm-hmm. ... ...A succubus? Seriously? Happy that Calli-chan ain't here, she'd have a conniption. ... ... Really? Cool. ... ..."Mistress of subterfuge and disguise", huh? That sounds familiar. ... ... ...That everything you guys got? ... ...Hey, man, no need to apologize. Incomplete knowledge is better than none at all. ... ... ...Don't worry about it, I haven't had a good fight in ages. And before you ask, getting trounced by Ambush in a 2-on-1 doesn't count. ... ... ...Sure, no problem. Sayonara.

*turns off the communicator, puts it away, and turns to Raleigh* Maybe it's the part of me that still wants to have a good-natured laugh at Calli-chan's expense, but I'm feeling up to throwing down against Dirge.

[Raleigh]

*Grins.* An interesting choice. Dirge, my darling granddaughter, care to step up?

*A large and heavy great sword almost as tall and wide as a coffin plunges into the arena. From its mirrored black surface steps an orange haired red eyed devil of a succubus. Her naturally armored tail lashing about in pleasure at getting a chance to fight.* Of course not grandmother. So, who is my opponent?

*Raleigh points to Zapana.* Be mindful, she is rather good at fighting herself.

[AmbushCat]

*Zapana steps into the arena herself, chucking her jacket off to the side.*

So how we are handling this, Raleigh-sama? We just begin on your signal?

[Raleigh]

If that is your wish.

Dirge: Works for me.

Raleigh: Then begin.

(You go first since it would kind of be cheating for me to take the first action as I call the fight to start.)

*grin* Rumble.

*Zapana tenses a moment, then seems to outright vanish. The occasional sound of feet hitting the ground and a faint whiff of flames both indicate that she's still in the arena, however, and after a short period she reappears at Dirge's 8 o'clock with her fist raised to strike.*
