Brotherhood HQ: Grand Re-Opening

*A massive complex somewhere in Muffinville is completely shuttered and locked up, with debris, leftover materials, and construction supplies laying around. A giant banner is strung across the front of the building that reads as follows:*

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT!
PARDON OUR DUST!
City-wide party going down sometime in September!
Meanwhile, please do not pet the dog. Seriously, don't. It's for your own good.

*Out in front of the complex near the sidewalk is a little Pekingese; it is currently chained to a doghouse and taking a snooze in the sun. Bowls of food and water are set close by.*

[Knight Errant]

Dact wanders by the complex. Raising an eyebrow. "Huh... wonder how that will be." He says, pausing as he sees the dog. He smiles, leaning a little closer to it. "Hmm... cute doggo."

[AmbushCat]

*On closer inspection, the dog's collar has several tags on it, giving its name ("Squeaky"), owner's contact information ("If lost, please call Viridi at...") and so forth. The dog is well taken care of and looks to have been recently groomed.*

*Though as the banner says, it's probably not a good idea to pet the dog, no matter how cute it is.*

*An assortment of beings start to swarm the outside of the facility. Some are plushies of the Red/White Mage variety. Others are monsters of assorted types, some of them normal but the rest of them---as per Muffinville's oddities---being somewhat humanoid. All are armed with tools, and all of them set to work on remodeling the complex.*

[Knight Errant]

Dact sets up a folding chair. Sitting down and reading a book while the building starts to take shape.

[Feng]

He is joined by a certain Criminal Mastermind.

*Sip* "So what brings you, Chevalier?" mused Bones, sitting beneath the canopy of a massive umbrella atop a fancy bench.

He smirked before glancing at the shenanigans taking place before them.

[Knight Errant]

"I haven't the foggiest. But it might be something interesting. What brings you?"

[Feng]

"Business, dear boy. Business!"

A maid minces over to Dactylos, silently offering the Knight a cup of Earl Grey tea.

[Knight Errant]

He raises an eyebrow at the maid. But shrugs and takes the tea, sipping. "Really. You have a hand in all this?" He says, looking back to him after looking the maid up and down.

[Feng]

"My boy I have my finger is several brewing pots throughout these lands" says Bones with a dismissive wave. "Although, no I am not responsible for the sight unfolding before us. However, if my sources of intelligence prove reliable.... I might be looking at the biggest score in my illustrious career as a Criminal Mastermind. I'm talking bigger than the Muffinville Dams, more ambitious than the time I flooded the City Council with Pinemango, more devious than the caper where I contracted Phantom Thief Z to rob the Muffinville museum!"

*Sip*

[AmbushCat]

*A sheep girl can be seen walking the premises, holding a clipboard and attached pen. Occasionally she looks up at the remodeling, nods, and marks something off. After a minute she notices Bones and Dact lounging around and walks up to them.*

Sheep girl: Something I can help you with, gentlemen?

[Feng]

"How about a fine glass of chardonnay?" quips Bones, raising an eyebrow at the sheep girl.

[AmbushCat]

Bahija: *rolls her eyes* I'm a supervisor, not a butler. ...Unless you're asking if I want some chardonnay, in which case: no, you're not my type.

[Feng]

"Your loss, my dear, not mine" says Bones, returning to his tea.

Bahija: ...Hmph. Well, then if you don't have anything else to ask, sir, I'd better get back to work.
