Ads everywhere, and I do mean
everywhere, have shown up to let people know about a career fair being held in one of Muffinville's least shady community centers. One such ad is a flyer that says "Need a job?! The Business can help! Bring your resume.." and then the time and date and location.
Another is a slightly surreal TV ad; it starts out normal enough: A cool-looking guy in shades points out at the viewer, saying, "Do you need a job? Do you like making money? The Business is interested in hiring
you! Please bring your resume. We accept all kinds of people with all kinds of talent! We are an equal opportunity employer. That's right--we'll humans, elves, orcs, dwarves, cyborgs, robots, sapient animals, part-animal people, walking plushes, animate objects, floating aetherial beings, sentient air, ...", and it goes on like this, listing more and more kinds of possible people for like a straight hour and a half with either photographs of that kind of person labeled "Actual employee" or drawings labeled "Artist's rendition", all while floating text on the screen continues to say "Bring your resume!" and the time, date, and location of the event. Yes, the Business rented out a long span of some channel's airtime for this.
Besides that there's the usual internet ads all over, and all the major Muffinvillian job sites have a listing placed for people to come to the job fair and get a job in all kinds of qualifications.
And now, it's the big day! The community center doors are wide open, leading into a big expanse of a room arranged into several 'hallways' with little tables lining each. Big banners give various overarching descriptions of what kind of job is on offer, and just about every job imaginable seems to be represented, from retail or service jobs to item-enchanting to robot building and repair to voluntary gladiatorial combat. Behind each table is a cloaked figure standing (?) perfectly still, with a single little circular greenish glow under the hood where one would expect is eyes to be. The community center speakers are playing
a slightly strange song for background music.
((No specific plans for this, but I thought it was high time The Business stepped into the limelight again. So, if you've got a character who could use some sort of job, or with some other reason to talk to these robots, or someone who would be inclined to try and wreck the career fair for one reason or another (though, expect some resistance), feel free. Some jobs might even come with a transformation if someone seems to want it to.))
