They are surprisingly sharp, and one or two of them probably even manage to hit the unexploded egg that already got stuck inside of the beast.

The monsters laugh at the foolish attempts to hurt him with the shurikens-like attacks, while its body regenerated any slicing damage until suddenly the egg got hit and caused a frizzling reacting within the beast.
Together with the eggs thrown by Ookalf, the reactions got even more violent and the monster struggled to remain stable.

While arriving at the egg, just that moment she noticed that the little crack widened just slightly for some reason for a second or so. The crack on the shell was still too small to get a good peek at who or what was inside of it, but at least it was some progress, right?...
