Nicely done. *Turns to take in the entire family as well.* So how are you all? I know Ebony asked earlier but I should ask as well since I'm actually present this time.

*clutches her stomach and almost falls to her knees, giggling hysterically*

Ezekiel: *smiles sympathetically, patting Amber's arm from twenty feet away* She's tired. Very tired. Vacation's calling her.

Ellen: *still not looking up* ...I've been focusing on schoolwork and occasional training, mostly. Ezekiel's his usual self.

Ezekiel: *waves* Hi, sis!

Ellen: ...Echo stayed home; he hates water. And Eebon... ...I don't know where she is, actually. Though if I had to guess---

*If Raleigh's attentive, he might notice a new heat signature dimenporting into the water... Point-three seconds before it catches Ellen completely off guard, sends her flying out of the pool, flips her over and makes her crash upside down in a poolside chair. Ezekiel catches her homework before it can fly away.*

Ellen: *eye twitches; drums her fingers against an armrest* ---she's playing a practical joke at my expense.

Eebon: *surfaces* I AM THE ENTRANCE-MAKER! Gaw.

[Raleigh]

*The catgirl pushes the floatie with the boy off into the slide and suddenly he feels like he is accelerating well beyond what the physics of a slide should allow even one this tall. As the acceleration picks up he will see what appears to be a tearing of reality around him.*

"Woooooaah!!" Well, this ride seemed to have been worth the climb up those stairs. He could hardly believe what he was seeing as the ride went on.

*finally gets her giggling under control* That... that's terrific. Managerial work at the Mungojerrie tends to be tedious at best.

Ellen: *rights herself and sits down in the chair* ...You only work there three hours a day at most when you bother to show up at all. That's not tediousness, that's laziness.

*eyebrow raises* Dear? Feline mind, human body.

Eebon: *fanged smile* Got you there, sis.

Eh, I have some who can find fun in that. Hild was so amused by that last netherworld I sold her that she assigned some lawyers and managerial staff to me. I could send them to help look over your papers easily enough.

*Reality rips away before the boy and he begins to pass through the warped and horrifying mess that is beyond the veil. Various denizens of chaos turn to observe the boy sliding past before reality reasserts itself around the boy and he is sliding through what appears to be the rings around a planet in space.*

The boy is quite awestruck at the sights he is seeing, not really having any time to process everything going on around him as he enjoyed the thrill of the ride.

I won't say no to that. Much obliged. If you tell the staff there that I gave them permission to substitute for me, there shouldn't be any problems.

Eebon: Speaking of managers and problems, where's Elk?

Ellen: ...Off sponsoring one of the PFL's competitions.

*Everyone present, even Ezekiel, gives her a long look before facepalming in unison.*

Ellen: *shakes her head* ...I told him not to drink any soda before we left. It's hardly my fault that he likes to ignore me.

[Raleigh]

*Just before the boy is whisked away a star begins to go nova off to his left. After the reality tear ends he finds himself seemingly riding on an electron orbiting a nucleus.*

Personally I'm not too concerned about that. I mean, he's getting cash out of the deal for doing stuff he would've done anyway.

*With a flash the boy finds himself floating along a river where he can spot various early life forms gathering to drink before another flash sees him ascending through the heavenly spheres away from the earth below.*

*The kid now is floating through the branches of a large tree. He could see various worlds as he passes different portions of the tree and see realms of fire and ice below.*

*Amber starts laughing again, almost falling into the water but catching herself in time. Ezekiel just gives his sister her homework back, shaking his head*
